From 'wow wow wow' to 'yum yum yum': A 5-year-old's perspective on why cow milk is for baby cows."

My 5-year-old and I tried writing a poem about all the vegan milk options we have and how healthy they are. We’d love to hear what you think!

Here it is:

⭐ Kindness in My Cup

Cow milk is for baby cow, Buffalo milk too, wow wow wow! Sheep milk for the baby baa, Mommy milk for who we are.

Oat milk dancing in my cup, Soy milk helps me grow up! Coconut milk smooth and sweet! Almond milk is such a treat.

We can choose a different way, Kind and gentle every day. So many choices, yum yum yum, Healthy tummies, happy fun!

Happy planet, skies so blue, Happy animals saying “thank you!” Healthy kids like me and you, Sharing love is what we do 💚

Soy-free dinner ideas for a fourteen month old with sensitive digestive system

My baby loooooves to eat. He also is super sensitive and has a sensitive digestive system. He had a soy sensitivity when I breastfed (not anymore) so I'm scared to to do soy with him. I am also very hesitant to do lentils and beans or quinoa for dinner and run the risk he wakes up screaming every hour at night. Lunch is when I do those.

Any dinner ideas? We have been doing a lot of pasta and rice and potatoes and sweet potatoes with veggies for dinner, but his palate is developing and he's not super into the plain veggies any more :(.

Non-messy no teeth snack ideas?

We just turned one yesterday, hooray! We're going to start slowly dropping bottles next week and need to incorporate more snacks into our routine. As I push my kids around for our afternoon walk in the wagon, it occurs to me that this is a good opportunity for snack time, but I would love to not get the wagon or their clothes super messy. We like teething crackers and cucumber. We used to be very enthusiastic about fruit but lately have not been as into it, though I have not tried offering it as a standalone snack, only with meals.

Any other suggestions for your favorite handheld, not too crumbly snacks while we wait for our teeth? 😅

Breakfast burrito prep time.

I change these up every time but the basics are tofu, breakfast sausage, veggies, quinoa, beans, and cheeze.
These have broccoli, mushrooms, and onion.
