Only one blast

Just got the news that out of 8 eggs only one made it. Any success stories with PGT testing of one egg? Too late to tell them not to biopsy ugh

How and when did you start explaining to your child?

My Lo is 2.5 years old. I’m not sure how or when to start discussing why we don’t eat like most people?

SNF refresher course?

Hi,
I have been staying home with my toddler since born 2.5 years ago. I need to start getting back out into the work force. I have always worked in SNFs but feel like I have lost all confidence I know what I am doing. Is there any sort of course or material recommendations that anyone can provide? I will start taking some courses on speech pathology.com as well to try to refresh my memory. Or just a little encouragement that I will be ok getting back in there after some time away? 😥 😅

Out of ganirelax help

Oh my gosh I thought I ordered 2 more ganirelax on the meds that were delivered yesterday but I was not home (so husband put meds away) and just now realized (Saturday afternoon) that I did not get the 2 ganirelax I thought I ordered. Normally they will overnight it but it’s Saturday and they don’t deliver on Sunday and I’m sure not Monday either since they won’t pick up the order on Sunday. So I am freaking out. I have ganirelax for tomorrow and Monday but by the time they deliver more Tuesday it will be too late. Is there any where else to get ganirelax????? I have an appt at my IVF clinic tomorrow but from past experience I am pretty sure they don’t carry any meds on hand even for emergencies

Thank you all so much for offering your location!! That is so thoughtful of you all. I was hoping a local pharmacy would have some but so far no luck. I am in Cleveland, Ohio. Does anyone around here have an extra one I can pay you for?? I will definitely ask my clinic tomorrow

Thanks again everyone! So nice of you all

Supplements for 2.5 year old

I give my 2.5 year old the following supplements: vitamin d, vitamin b, DHA and iron. Does this sound ok or am I missing something?

His pediatrician doesn’t seem totally on board or familiar with toddlers on vegan diets.

Luteal phase start

I was over suppressed on estradiol and the cycle ended up being canceled. So my RE said we are going to do estrogen priming for 4-5 days and then come in for baseline for a luteal phase start (unless I happen to get my period by then but I don’t think that will happen).

Has anyone done a luteal phase start before? I have already done so many retrievals with something going wrong with just about all of them so I am worried to try this. How were your results if you did luteal phase start?

Thanks so much

Success for HLM +7

What are the success rates for a HLM one full chromosome trisomy?

Also, can anyone help me understand UPD. I believe it’s when the embryo ends up two chromosomes from the same parent instead of one from each. What does this mean for a potential baby? And do the effects of UPD depend on which chromosome it is or are the results the same no matter which chromosome is effected?

Husband and donor eggs

Has anyone been on board with donor eggs but husband is not really on board. He is saying he wants both our genetics or neither. I know we need to speak with a therapist but does anyone have any way to explain this to him so he could potentially be more open to the idea? Or any resources for us? Any tips how you got your partner on board if I Italy they weren’t?

Donor egg after own egg conceived child

Hi,

We had to do 2 IVF cycles for my child and have now done 4 IVF retrievals trying for a second child plus one cancelled cycle and planning to do one more retrieval but I don’t think I can keep going much longer with retrievals. I am now 40. We are considering donor eggs and I was wondering if anyone else is in the same boat.

I don’t have a problem with using donor eggs but I do worry a little bit about one child being from my own eggs and one from a donor. Is a child from donor eggs going to feel isolated and resentful in some way? Has anyone worried about this or am I worrying for nothing?

Can anyone weigh in kindly? Thanks so much

Day 7 success?

Has anyone actually had success with a day 7 euploid? Please let me know. It seems like it’s basically no chance at all of working

Question about donor eggs

After many rounds of IVF, I am beginning to think about donor eggs. I am wondering if anyone who has gone this route can give some input into who all you chose to tell that you are using / used donor eggs. I know it’s not supposed to be a secret but it’s also not a lot of people’s business either (in my opinion but I am also a very private person anyways) so I am just curious who and how this looked for you?

TW; How many cycles have you done

TW: 1 success

How many cycles has everyone done? We just completed number 6 retrieval (+ a cancelled cycle after 8 days of stim). And did you feel worse after the retrievals the more retrievals you did?

I feel like this egg retrieval has been harder on me. I normally feel better after a couple days but now it’s 4 days later and I still don’t feel well or like myself.

We are still waiting to see how many / if we get any embryos. Last cycle we got more than I’ve ever got but then it all went downhill with PGT testing. I hate to give up after all we’ve been through, especially since I did make blasts, but I really don’t know how much physically and mentally I can take

We did have success after ER number 2 and have a 2.5 year old after a fresh transfer. However we have been doing egg retrievals the last 1.5 years and just completed number 4 with one cancelled cycle trying to get any day 5 or 6 euploids and it’s just not happening

ER 3: really poor clinic who put me on a completely inappropriate protocol with terrible results

Switched clinics:

ER 4: MDL seemed to be going well but woke up from retrieval and told I ovulated early

ER 5: antagonist, 7 retrieved, somehow made 6 blasts but all abnormal besides one day 7 euploid which success rates seem to be between 10-20 percent

Cancelled cycle: antagonist, didn’t respond to meds, RE thought I was oversurpressed on estradiol

ER 6: 5 fertilized, just got day 4 results, only one at morula stage

I just physically and mentally do not know if I can go on but I am worried about my child. I was 37 when I had him and so was my husband so we are a bit older. He has no cousins as we each have one sister and neither of them have kids. I just worry so much that he is going to be alone in this world

Any advice on: How did you go on with more retrievals when you really just didn’t feel like you mentally or physically could?

Sorry this turned out to be a book. I don’t know what I am looking for

No priming?

Has anyone done no priming and had good results?

One cycle we did about 4 days of estrogen priming and the cycle went pretty well but had bad results with PGT.

Next cycle we did about 7 days of estrogen priming and Dr. and I thought I was over suppressed.

So this cycle we were aiming for 4 days of estrogen priming again (which is hard to figure out since my cycles aren’t completely consistent) but somehow when monitoring my progesterone blood levels this month we either missing ovulation or I didn’t ovulate bc now my period is here and my progesterone level never showed the rise when we tested so I am wondering if I could just start stims without any priming or is that a recipe for disaster??

Going rate for SNF in Ohio?

I am just coming back from an extended time off after the birth of my child and was wondering if anyone knows the going rate PRN SNF with 10+ years in Ohio. The rate was 50 dollars an hour when I got my license 10+ years ago so I am thinking it has to be at least 60 now??

Egg retrieval 1: 7 follicles growing and expecting 7 eggs, ovulated early

ER 2: 2-3 days estrogen priming, 7 follicles growing, retrieved 7, 6 made it to blast to our surprise, however went to PGT and only 1 day 7 euploid

Now ER 3: primed about 7 days with estrogen, today on stims day 10, only 2 growing, size 14 and 19 mm. Estradiol 597

Insurance has covered the retrieval portion of these 3 cycles. We have paid meds and PGT. This was likely out last round covered through insurance. Would you cancel and try again or go through with retrieval? Since we have very low euploid rate going through doesn’t seem worth it since we may have no blast and even if we are lucky enough to get 2, odds one is euploid is very low. Age 39.

Please help me decide
