What is your general consensus of The Overlap podcast?
Anybody here enjoy the discourse they have on there and how they discuss major talking points? For me, I don't like how so much of it is clip farming nonsense where they're all shouting over each other like angry alcoholics in a pub. Most of the arguments are poorly presented and lack any nuance. It's a podcast that goes out to a large audience of subscribers but I feel the actual quality of it is extremely underwhelming.
Randomly approached by a stranger asking to walk with him to a park
So Thursday evening at about 20:30 as I was walking home having done grocery shopping, I was stopped by a young lad (looked to be in his early 20s) coming up to me in a panicked, dishevelled state claiming he had his drink spiked by a group of "friends" he claimed he was with and he claimed he felt disoriented and feeling as though he could collapse.
He requested if I could walk with him to a park about a 10 minute walk from where we were. His reason for wanting me to accompany him to this park was not specified and he refused to explain why he wanted to be taken to this location. I felt extremely uneasy about him wanting to go to a secondary location through what is a fairly quiet route where not many pedestrians tend to be present. I also was uneasy about how the lad stepped in front of me unexpectedly when he explained what he claimed had happened to him and why he needed my help. He also refused to stipulate what help he was exactly seeking by being taken to this park. I offered to phone the police for him but he insisted not to so I asked why not and he simply said calling them would cause more problems than it'd solve for him. He refused to elaborate on why getting the police involved would inconvenience him.
I don't know whether his story had legitimacy (extremely sceptical) or whether it was a ruse to lead me to somewhere my safety would be at risk. So I followed my gut instinct and politely told him "sorry, but I am unable to provide you with what help you are looking for" and walked off. Has anybody here experienced anything resembling what I did where you were adamant a stranger was trying to lead you to danger?

Personally for me it's they have to take cup competitions seriously and give us a strong chance of success in them. If we're in the Europa next season, I want us to enter it with the intention and belief we can go all the way and not just be happy to participate
