so me and my husband go into the petco near our house a few days ago and we were getting fish, you know whatever they swim in water, fish, we got what we wanted and then asked the employee for clownfish cause we couldn’t find any. The employee said “like saltwater? clownfish?” and I said “yea” and then they were like “oh they’re on this side” and showed us, but we couldn’t see any.. I cant tell if they were joking or what so I said “we don’t see any” and they asked “do u mean like clown loaches instead?” but that isn’t what we wanted we wanted clownfish and they asked “ur talking ab like CLOWNFISH right? yk like nemo?”
we both said “yea” and they said “yeah that’s what these are” pointing to a bunch of black fish with white stripes and orange fish, so I said “you said these were saltwater?” and they said “yes, u have a saltwater tank right?” and my husband says “where r the freshwater clownfish?” Cause yk that’s what they had in Nemo, and the employee really said “there’s no such thing” so I said “well we had one in our fish tank but it died after like two days.” The store sold us a bad fish. So I said “well we want another one” and the employee just kind of froze for a bit like they were thinking about something.

honestly interactions like this make me question humanity sometimes. any time we go to get clownfish people give us this same rigmarole. and 8/10 times they don’t even let us get the freshwater clownfish :(

Can I ask why whenever I order a roast beef sub lately, the default they give is low sodium roast beef???

If it’s somehow a shortage which I don’t blame on the workers but I don’t see as possible considering it’s just adding salt, I can accept that there’s possibly a shortage, I haven’t asked yet because it’s only been a few times that I’ve gone for a sublix in the past few years, and every time I forget they’ve been doing this so I forget to say anything and by the time I know it’s too late because I’m reading it on the sub tag.

I really don’t like to confront food workers for obvious reasons which is why I’m here mainly.

I really wish they’d say something, so I could request that they salt the rb directly because low sodium roast beef fucking sucks lmao. It needs to have salt directly on it, just salting the sandwich when it’s done isn’t enough. There’s something about the salt that brings out roast beef’s flavor the right way, and the low sodium stuff is for (I thought) people who’d have issues with their heart…

So is there a shortage? Are all the Publix’s near me trolling me whenever I order it? I don’t request low sodium so I’m expecting the “regular” stuff, did something change???
