Comparatively: Employers avoiding/reducing Canadian (TN visa) applicants?

Hi all,

Just as a Canadian citizen, trying to understand if there is a reduced preference for TN visa applicants overall?

Or Just my industry thing (mechanical/maintenance/reliability Engineering)?

Or probably just my personal resume?

I have had an offer letter in the past (2025 summer) from US employers, but recently when I am trying to get an actual good offer, I am not getting a single call from the applications.

Just trying to understand if it's issue with my resume or something else?

Especially when there is a data center maintenance and such related field at boom in USA.

Appreciate your response and insight.

(general discussion) Re-Orgs or Org changes: Worth fighting or leave with mental peace intact

Usually, Organizations go through changes and re-orgs. Often (maybe due to my field of expertise), I am part of such changes, mostly acting as a catalyst or an expert (as a lower level manager in charge of leading the change).

And, once some maturity is gained towards the intended direction, I get a well seasoned industry expert (director or executive level) onboard above me to scale or advance the organizations maturity further.

Last couple of times: Even tho I am usually flexible and don't play power dynamics, I find some misalignment with the new boss and they try to sideline me into not so important roles.

During such times, my approach:

While I am being sidelined (silent layoff) I prefer not wasting my time in fighting (documenting for further legal action or such tactics), and get another similar job.

As, I believe, it's not wise to fight against the organization or new supported senior management, as it does more harm than any good to personal career and mental peace.

But, I am starting to wonder if my beliefs are wrong. As, it's not practical to keep changing every couple/few years.

What would be an opinion or Senior Management or HR professionals?

---

TL;DR:

Repeatedly hired as a change agent, then sidelined (silent layoff) when a senior leader is brought in to scale the organization. I usually leave instead of fighting (documenting and creating a legal case). Is that smart career management, or am I missing something?
