What would you like to be improved/fixed if Soul Blazer got a remake?

Recent replayed the game on SNES and really think it would be great if Square Enix releases a remake. There are many things that a remake could improve, like dialogues and gramatical mistakes, game mechanics, graphics etc. I'm really curious if people would prefer a modernized game, or an extremely faithful remake that mainly updates the graphics like it was with Super Mario RPG remake on Switch. Feel free to comment what would you change or improve in a remake.

What would you like to be improved/fixed if Soul Blazer and Terranigma got a remake?

I posted this in Soul Blazer subreddit, but seems it is kinda quiet there, If it's not appropriate to post about other games in the trilogy here, I'll delete the post. I'll take this opportunity to extend the question to Terranigma as well, not just Soul Blazer.

Goals is actually a basketball game

I've been playing Goals for a few weeks now, and I've realized that this game is anything but football. When you face a good opponent who is at least at the same skill level as you (even if their team has players with a slightly higher overall rating than yours), practically every single attack by you or the other player will end in a goal. And the goals are always scored by a fluid player who manages to keep spinning back and forth with the ball (like a basketball dribble) until they are well-positioned to score the goal (or the basket point). It's normal for every attack to result in a goal, just like in basketball. It's common for games to end 8-7 or 6-5 (with golden goal, where the advantage goes to whoever kicks off in overtime) because goals happen all the time. I don't even celebrate when I score a goal anymore because I know that right from the kickoff, there's at least a 75% chance I'll concede one goal because the gameplay is lazy and unrealistic.

When your opponent doesn't know how to defend well (which, by the way, is a pain to do in this game) with double-teaming and trying to intercept passes using the player you control, it always turns into a rout.

Basically, when the game is hard-fought, what determines the winner is a well-timed tackle, when you miraculously manage to take the ball away from a pinball player spinning back and forth with the ball and manage to prevent a goal during an opponent's attack, just like a block in basketball.

Anyway, some people like this kind of gameplay and dynamic, where the game is 0% strategy and skill, and 100% exploiting sloppy mechanics by endlessly spinning around with the best player on the team.
