Letrozole + IUI

Hi everyone! I’m 25, my husband is 32. We just did our first IUI two days ago and I’d love to hear other people’s journey with IUI. We didn’t trigger as I had a natural LH surge and one follicle measuring 26x20mm and 14m sperm post wash! Uterine lining 9mm.

How long did it take you to conceive with IUI?

First cycle! Letrozole + IUI

Hi ladies! I just had my first IUI on 6/27/26 so I figured I’d post and introduce myself.

I’m 25 years old, my husband is 32. We’ve been TTC naturally for 5 years now with no luck. I have PMOS but no insulin issues so I don’t take metformin. I’m currently taking prenatal, ovasitol, and a few other vitamins.

I only have 4-6 periods a year naturally and ovulation I don’t even know.

This cycle I took Provera to induce a bleed, took Letrozole 5mg CD 5-9, and got an LH surge on CD 15.

I went to the clinic for an ultrasound on CD 16 and they confirmed one follicle 26x20mm and uterine lining 9mm. We decided to do IUI spontaneously right then and there!

My husband has a normal SA from December and his post wash count was 14 million.

I am now 2 days post IUI!

It’s been so many years, the idea of anything working feels impossible but I’m trying to have hope!

I’d love to hear your stories and journeys as well! 🤗

Lean PCOS, high testosterone, high DHEA-S, AMH 11.4, no ovulation — anyone with a similar profile conceive with letrozole?

Hi everyone,

I'm 25 and have lean PCOS. I've been struggling with feeling discouraged about TTC and would love to hear from women with a similar presentation.

My labs/history include:

  • AMH: 11.4 ng/mL
  • Total testosterone: 100
  • Free testosterone: 12.2
  • DHEA-S: 509 (ref range 148–407)
  • FSH: 6.9
  • Normal fasting glucose, fasting insulin, and A1C
  • Normal semen analysis for my husband (turning 32 years old)
  • AFC around 40–45+ total follicles
  • 4–6 periods per year
  • No spontaneous ovulation

I'm starting letrozole 5 mg and am honestly having a hard time staying optimistic. I've been TTC for 7 years now with no luck so I'm feeling pretty hopeless about everything.

I'm especially interested in hearing from women who had:

  • High AMH
  • Elevated testosterone and/or DHEA-S
  • Lean PCOS
  • Chronic anovulation

Questions:

  • Did you ovulate on letrozole?
  • What dose worked for you?
  • How many cycles did it take to conceive?
  • Did anyone with a similar profile end up conceiving with IVF?

I know everyone's journey is different, but I think hearing some real-world experiences from women with a similar hormonal picture would help me feel less alone right now.

Thank you ❤️

Would you move to NC if you weren't already living there?

Hi everyone! My husband and I are currently living in New Mexico, and we’ve been seriously considering relocating to North Carolina, specifically the Durham area. My husband’s job has an office there, so transferring would be pretty straightforward for us.

We’re a young couple hoping to start a family soon, and we’re really looking for more of a rural, small-town lifestyle rather than city living. From the research I’ve done so far, I’ve been especially interested in the Roxboro area because we love the idea of having some land, being outdoors more, and eventually raising our kids in a quieter environment.

Neither of us have actually visited NC yet, but we definitely plan to before making any decisions. I’d love to hear from people who live there:

  • What’s it really like living in that area?
  • What are the biggest pros and cons?
  • If you didn’t already live in NC, is it somewhere you’d consider moving to?

One of the biggest reasons we’re looking to leave where we currently live is the crime rate. Safety and having a good environment to raise children in are really important to us, so hearing firsthand experiences would mean a lot.

Thanks in advance for any advice or insight!
