Is this something to go to a doctor for?
Took apple watch ecg before and after exercise. Heartrate went upto 190 bpm within only 10 minutes of mild exercise. The watch couldn’t record ecg at a heartrate that high and only started recording after it came down to around 150.
I had shortness of breath, slightly heavy left shoulder, lightheadedness, fatigue. I rested after exercising and everything slowly went back to normal.
4 years into PhD... and I am a failure.
I say that because I still have not been able to produce a single research publication. None. At. All. I guess some people do not have an aptitude for some things. I am a total failure.
Our department doesn't have labs you could join and be a part of a research team. Not a single opportunity like that. All teachers are close to retirement, and nearly half the faculty has retired, with no new professors to replace the old ones. No active funding or research projects for a few years now. No opportunity to gain any research experience and publish papers as part of a team. Every student is left on their own.
My peers have at least published one paper here or there, mostly at conferences that publish peer-reviewed articles. I have none because I am a loser. I have nothing to show the world that I actually know something. nothing. Woke up today to another rejection because apparently my paper did not have the correct format. I tried to follow the format guidelines, dont know where I made the mistake. What would a failure know!
