Vulnerability is exhausting

Venting that I’m exhausted from good communication. The mini-panic that comes from expressing my pov, or questioning someone… the guilt and self-doubt is so draining. Being in healthy relationship with people when I am used to being completely ignored, I feel exposed. Anyway just looking for some good old fashioned commiseration.

How do I get tofu splatter off the enamel stove?

Hi, I live with a vegan who is a great cook and generally extremely clean, but his one blindspot is the stove top. Before we lived together his stovetop was caked in layers of cooking, let’s just say. I like to contribute to the food realm by cleaning the stove regularly but there is so much tofu splatter that’s becoming cemented on! Do I just have to wipe it right after he cooks or is there something that will dissolve it?

Update: I used a dry cloth to scrub it and then it would ball up and peel away kinda like that glue that holds your credit card to the piece of mail it’s delivered on. It’s just a lot of elbow grease so if there are any shortcuts…

More update!
I never really cooked much with oil before (I made my first breaded, fried tofu for my sweetheart the other day! 🥳), so it certainly could be that. Thanks to the people who replied with tips and helpfulness anyway. I thought I had a cool question for the vegan thread and was excited to interact. You all are treasures, and the architects of a thriving community. Community must of course lovingly include a few Eeyores. Hope all yall have a good day!

How do you cohabitate?

Hey yall I am learning to cohabitate with my partner. He’s been away for a little while and I have enjoyed the endless amount of solitude and quiet where my adhd brain can run wild and free. For me codependency feels like my mind is a radio station that picks up the frequency of whoever is near me, such that I cannot tune into myself. How do you stay connected to yourself while living with someone? Doesn’t even have to be a partner.

Grateful

I was just watching a show when a bf and gf said goodbye after a date and they happily went their separate ways. I had a memory of a time when I would ache with anxiety when a date ended. I would ache all the time because of separateness and throw myself at the feet of any jerk. I could not feel whole on my own.

I feel so grateful to now have the tools that allow me to be excited when a date ends, and excited to be alone with myself. I can pass on people I don’t like, hell, I can tell when I don’t like someone! I can treat red flags like off ramps. I can handle peace, and prefer it now. It’s wild to walk in the shoes of someone with a more secure attachment.

I’m so grateful to myself for going to therapy on my own over a decade ago, for studying behavior all on my own, and finding the answers to my question. I understand who to trust now because I learned how to trust myself. . I went through so much trauma… but I did always have my back and I will always have my back.

Anyway, hope this inspires someone. Probably shoulda put it in the love addiction group but hey a rose by any other name.

What relationship work means and what it doesn’t mean

I would add:
-believing what your partner says vs. looking for hidden meanings/intentions
-checking in with reality vs. falling for fantasies
-communicating your experience vs. having conversations with people in your head

What would you add/subtract?

Hi there, my intention is to build a drawing tablet and I have an old Wacom intuos tablet that has a really nice pen. Can I jailbreak or rebuild the pen to work with a touch screen? The drawing tablet it came with was just a gray pad that connected to the computer via usb. I could be into just keeping that tablet and connecting it to the tablet if I can’t free the pen.
