Are there any good pieces of fanfiction where Cyn/The Absolute Solver successfully integrates into the Manor?
To clarify, I'm not looking for "Cyn is innocent and the Solver did everything, now she's free" or "the Solver never happened so Cyn is good" fics. I'm wondering if there's any good fanfiction out there where Cyn, after already fully integrating with the Absolute Solver, successfully retained some semblance of humanity (though not normality) and actually kept interacting with everybody in some manner. It doesn't have to be a perfect timeline. Things can still happen. I'm just wondering if there's been any actually decent attempts. Most people try to solve the problem by just tearing the Solver out of the equation when arguably that removes a lot of what makes the concept most interesting.
These two cards so similar, but the small differences make one Loadable
It's genuinely interesting looking at Underdog and The Weakest Link side by side and comparing the two. They're so alike, and yet because The Weakest Link only measures the Stat Difference when calculating the buff, only works on opponents stronger than you, and only boosts offensive stats (STR and SPD) it's completely Loadable while proper Underdog isn't.
What theories are extremely popular but literally break under a single small detail?
Rudy's dying, Carol's going straight to jail and Dess is almost definitely not making it out alive
Driven Assimilators having a seat in the Galactic Community is such an interesting design choice
I was discussing it elsewhere, but Driven Assimilators having a legitimate seat in the Galactic Community and being able to have peaceful interactions with other civilizations is so fun and interesting. It allows for a lot more interesting roleplay options beyond being a mere Borg ripoff. If anything, I think it actually makes perfect sense that "civil" Driven Assimilators would want to try and gain power in the Galactic Community. Gain enough power there, and the entire galaxy basically accepts your benevolent guiding hand willingly. No dramatic wars, no fighting back, no inefficient loss of drones, just your peaceful Imperium.
Do you think there's any chance things could have worked out with Cyn/the Absolute Solver pre-massacre?
I personally always interpreted the "Cyn" we saw less as the Absolute Solver having completely erased the old Cyn and more having integrated so thoroughly that there is no meaningful distinction between the two (the Solver never once objects in any body to being called Cyn. At most it's expanded upon it). The Cyn we see still had interests, feelings and enjoyments that weren't primarily Omnicidal in nature. The Cyn in Episode 5 obviously was pretty much prepared to commit the Gala Massacre, but even then she hadn't gone 100% pure evil Eat The World yet. She still had intentions to do things like be with Tessa and N and the other drones and actually enjoy things afterward. While obviously by that point Cyn is already too far gone given her willingness to do what she did to Tessa, it does make me strongly wonder if things weren't necessarily doomed to a bad ending had Tessa's parents been less...Tessa's parents. There was an actual person there. One with *severe* issues, yes, but a person nonetheless, and that means room for other possibilities beyond what we saw.
