Finally joined the Honda family

After months of comparing bikes, asking way too many questions and overthinking every purchase, I finally brought home my 2026 Honda CB650R E-Clutch.
I’m a brand new rider, so today was both exciting and nerve wracking. Even the dealer was Shocked when I told him I’ve never driven a Bike before…

The ride home went a lot smoother than I expected, and I honestly couldn’t stop smiling inside the helmet.
Looking forward to learning, putting on plenty of safe kilometers, Ride safe everyone! 🤙

Looking for opinions from riders Nightster S 2026 or XSR900

Looking for opinions from riders who have owned or ridden both.
I entered club 30, and getting my first motorcycle. Due to our licensing system I’ll be riding at 35 kW for the first 2 years.

I’ve narrowed it down to:
Harley-Davidson Nightster Special 2026
Yamaha XSR900
The Harley dealer offered me a brand-new Nightster Special for about €12,700 out the door (including delivery and 35 kW restriction).
The XSR900 would be roughly €12,000 out the door.
My riding will be:
Swiss mountain passes (Furka, Grimsel, Susten)
Weekend rides
Occasional highway trips to Germany
Keeping the bike long-term (5+ years)
I love the Harley character, belt drive, and V-twin feel.
On the other hand, the XSR900 seems to win on performance, handling, technology, warranty, and future-proofing once the restriction comes off.

For those who have ridden or owned either of these bikes:
Which would you choose and why?
Not looking for spec-sheet comparisons. I’m interested in real ownership experience and whether you ever regretted your choice.
