How is it working around 💀 people?

Im asking because I want to go into forensics specifically working with deceased people, but I have my worries on going into this career as far as “spiritual” activity especially if I go into being medical examiner.

Do you get scared or chills working around them?
Do they stink?
Do you close their eyes when they arrive to the coroners office?
Do you ever get worried about what you may walk into (especially if it’s decomp, dismembered, or it’s a body that has been sliced, beaten, or shot badly)?
Do you ever get sad when you see kids especially kids who passed away due to abuse?

Edit: thank you guys for the tips they definitely do ease my worries.

Is it ok to smoke weed while on BC???

I wanted to ask this question because I didn’t even think about the thought on how me taking the BC pill and me smoking will affect my body. I read on how it says not to smoke but I didn’t know if that applies to nicotine smokers because I know nicotine and BC don’t really have a good mix in the body.

I’m also taking Norgestimate-ethinyl estradiol
(if that matters).

Sheltered child considering moving out of parent(s) house

I’m 19 years old and I work only making $9.50 per hour. I am my mother’s only child and I live with her primarily. It feels like now that I am getting older I don’t have as much “freedom” as I would like to have. Peers around me that are around my age, their parents give them more freedom, allowing them to have more access to the world.

My mom is a very scary when it comes to letting me go out and go places without her or my father. She shows a slight bit of irritation when I ask her to go out with my girlfriend or go somewhere that requires me to drive longer than 10 minutes.

When I go out with my girlfriend or friends I have to make sure I am in the house before she heads off to work which is around 7pm. Every person I want to hang out with she wants to meet and if I want to go to their house she has to meet their parents. She doesn’t want me taking Ubers (which is fine now because I have a car, but before she didn’t want me to do to safety concerns which is understandable IG), she doesn’t want me door dashing/uber eats late at night especially when she’s not home, she won’t even allow me to cook my own meal even if I told her I’ll buy my own groceries.

Yesterday she got really upset with me because I decided to spend $235 on me and my girlfriend. Some point I do understand what my mom is saying but then it’s like if this is money that has been giving to me from working why are you so concerned on what and who I spend my money on? Then she tries to push that narrative about my girlfriend basically trying to make her the bad person.

I talked to my girlfriend on how I feel about my mother and she told me “Well since you financially depend on her OFC she’s going to treat you like a kid” and basically encouraged me to boss up and take control of my like by being more financially independent.

I know I can’t move now and my mom wants me to stay with her till I finish school but I lowkey don’t think I want to. I’m trying to moved at by 22, 23 at the latest.

Considering a new job with higher pay

I’ve been working at Tropical Smoothie for 3 months now (Mar ‘26). I only make $9.50 per hour. I’m 19 years old and I don’t have big bills I have to pay for so I technically still financially rely on my mother to take care of me. I’m considering of asking the GM (general manager) for a raise. I talked to AGM (assistant general manager) and she told me the most he’ll give me a raise for is 50c ($10.00) but to still ask him. I believe that I am the only crew member that gets paid less than everyone else. He basically took what I made at my last job and made it the same pay when I already told him from the get-go my desired pay. The only reason I took the job was because I so desperately needed a job and now I’m kind of considering leaving if he can’t at least up my pay by $1 or 2. Sometimes I think about quitting before even asking but it’s worth to give it a try. Money is better than no money but I feel like $400 plus some change coming from each check is not enough especially with trying to take some loads off my mother shoulder so she doesn’t have to pay for as much stuff when it comes to me.

Do some hair growth ads ignore the role genetics play?

I hope this doesn’t come across the wrong way, but sometimes when mixed people promote hair oils and use their own hair length as proof, I feel like genetics aren’t always part of the conversation. Hair products can definitely help with hair health and retention, but genetics also play a significant role in how long someone’s hair can grow and how quickly it grows. Because of that, the same results won’t happen for everyone.

*Im not saying that people who have nothing but black in them can’t have long hair either*

I am highly embarrassed and I am agitated I have nobody to confide into and this seems like a “safe space”. So usually I keep my stuff (toy) in my nightstand and it came in a little baggy, but because I was using it earlier I was just being careless and it didn’t put it in the bag and threw it in my nightstand. My mom allergies were fucking up and she needed some allergy medication. I do have allergy medication that I keep in my nightstand. I didn’t think that my stuff was in there because I thought it was in the bathroom drawer. I know this isn’t something I should be ashamed about but I feel like I can’t even enjoy playing with myself now because I’m going to be thinking about that. If I could burry myself in the sheets and rot all day I would. IG it’s better than finding drugs right? 😬

Edit: Now she didn’t really mention anything about it and acted as if everything was ok once I asked did she get what she needed (which is a good sign) but umm next time I will be more careful with where I place certain things.
