Is CS worth it? - UNIQUE

BASICALLY got my A level results and got A* AA in bio, chem and physics(regret not taking math but oh well). I know a guy just posted this same question and got negative responses. However many of them were taking about how going into debt for it isnt worth it. If I'm getting substantially reduced fees from Aston university(I have to pay 4000 gbp per year- which I can cover myself by living at home and from my job at maccies) and graduate without incurring any debt, Is that a good option? I've been studious and also working alongside my A levels to save up money for med school in a country like Italy or georgia and had enough saved for a year hoping my parents could fund the rest (as they promised) but they suddenly needed money for an emergency so that wiped away my fund. I'm directionless but I have always known that if I wasnt a doctor, I'd be in fintech. Should I avail my offer of CS at aston? Is it a good enough uni?

GoodBye

Got done with all my exams. Lowkey feel kinda dead cuz got no idea what to do. I'm not even sure where Im going for university as I have to choose one abroad. I felt bittersweet coming out of OCR A level Biology as this will prolly be the last time I go to sixthform and see all my friends.

Also, as my friend was dropping me off home today, I realised something. He was the first guy I befriended on Open day and he was the last person I saw as I came home today. It tied itself beautifully and symmetrically. Another friend of mine left college at the end of first year and these 2 years everything around me has been constantly changing. During the exams, the only thing that kept me going was what I was gonna do after this exam such as Holiday, etc. Now, I just feel empty like when you finish your favourite show. I miss revising and being stressed, as weird as that sounds. I prolly wont even come to this subreddit again, unless its on results day.

So I just wanna say:

Thank you for the discussions about the grade boundaries, thank you for the memes, thank you for the motivation and de-motivation. Thank you for the unofficial marking schemes. Thank you for making me feel like I wasn't alone in this battle. And I guess for the last time I just wanna say:

Goodbye

AQA Physics Wtf is wrong with you all

Broski on ab 195 for A*. Calm tf down. Papers were a bit easier than the previous papers but are by no means easy enough for grade boundaries to jump by 15 marks man. Quit scaring us lurkers with these dumb ahh polls ab 2929290202 /250 for a D man.

Cooked for paper 3s?

I do OCR Bio, AQA chemistry and AQA physics. I think for all paper 1s and 2s I'm doing okayish(?). For bio I've done pmt topic questions 3 past papers and just reviewed mistakes. For chem doing 2018 to 2025 past papers, same for physics and relearning content. Got till the 1st and then all my exams are within 2 weeks. However, done fuck all for the paper 3s for all of em. My exams are smushed together so don't know how to revise during exam season and feel like I don't have enough time to do paper 3s whilst also revising for the exam I have the next day. Any tips? Should I leave paper 3s or???

What even is this subreddit?

Now, I am not someone who normally uses reddit a lot. I just recently started using it to join some communities I'm interested in. I came across this as I'm a pakistani teen currently living in a western country. I mightve come at the wrong time but i GENUINELY can't tell if this is just a circlejerk of westernised liberals, trolls or if liberalism is actually taking over the country. We have people with such 'pick me' bios (libertrarian socialist 😭😭) here just constantly pushing for trans rights (as if thats the only issue). And then the constant NEED/validation for wanting to conform the entire country to what they believe in. At first I acc thought I accidentally came to the ex-muslims subreddit lmao. Also as Im writing this Im getting a dont attack other beliefs or groups but that doesnt seem to apply to people attacking islam. Every other post is about atheism, trans rights, LGBTQ+ and barely anything about actual interesting gen Z stuff like something cool you found or some games ur trying or jobs or internships or uni. This feels like a political slop subreddit at best and I hope we acc just get a normal one soon. This makes the teen india and genzindia subrrddits look normal.
