Deciding between two names
I’m trying to decide between Amira and Eliana. I’d love thoughts, especially about meaning, nicknames, popularity, etc. (editing to add I am based in the US). Thank you!

My org recently told me that the grant I work under may not be renewed and I may not have a job in a few months. They still don’t know and couldn’t give me a clear answer. This is despite me signing a one year contract earlier in the year, with the assumption they gave me the one year contract because they knew they had funding for my role. I am 14 weeks pregnant and realizing I should probably tell them that and that I was very surprised to hear that news with a one year contract recently signed. I’m eligible for FMLA since I’ve been there one year and was really relying on having paid parental leave. I’m definitely panicking since I have a kid in daycare and don’t know how to make this work if I lose my job. I’d love any advice on how to tell HR, including what language might be helpful. Thank you so much in advance for any advice.

My spouse and I have decided we are done trying after many unsuccessful retrievals and a chemical pregnancy. I am wondering for folks who decided to stop trying or switch to donor eggs how they navigated the grief and marked the end of this stage of the journey? One thing we are struggling with is so many people believe the IVF process sucks but will result in a baby. While we may still have a baby at the end of our journey, it wasn’t the way we hoped and that we worked so hard and sacrificed so much for. I’m wanting to know how people closed the end of one part of their chapter and marked it to start integrating the pain and trauma into their larger story.
