I want to keep the commute under 35 minutes, so I’m mainly looking at Novi, Wixom, or New Hudson. My budget is around $1,600 max.

I’m moving to North Charleston soon and looking for a specific vibe. I want a 1-bedroom (no studios) that feels modern and fresh ideally a new build or a very high-end renovation. I’m looking for that clean "new home" look: stainless appliances, modern flooring, and updated finishes.
My Specs:
• Budget: $1,300 – $1,600/month.
• Size: 600 – 800 sqft.
• Layout: 1BR only
• Location: North Charleston / Hanahan / Summerville border.
I’ve seen some older garden-style apartments, but I really want something that feels like it was built in the last few years. Has anyone lived in or toured a place lately that fits this?
Also, if there are any specific buildings I should avoid due to management/noise even if they look pretty, please let me know! Thanks!
