Just saw it tonight. It’s good, like laugh out loud repeatedly good. Cast is stellar - adding Zoey Deutch, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, and Ben Wang to the regular David Wain crew is a joy. Ben Wang is stealing scenes in a way I wasn’t quite ready for. Zoey fits into the world and leads the movie so well and in the best way you can tell they’re on the verge of breaking in every scene. And while it stays relatively grounded it definitely goes for it more than once. Plenty of new quotable phrases. It seems like a movie they really wanted to make. And it was a joy to see in a small theater with people laughing. Also shot in LA and being released to theaters. Throw money at it so it doesn’t take him 8 years to make another movie.

So, Gibson and Fender are no longer small family companies, they have been taken over by private equity and at best have no soul but at worst are now just a sweatshop paying their employees the bare minimum to maximize profits.
And fuck the ip. Everyone that invented that shit is dead. How long can you milk a Strat or a sg or whatever.
Yes hardware and pickups suck on imports but that’s because they don’t realize that they’re 90% of the way their on builds but if they just could put it all together they’d be crushing legacy brands.
