Handful of action shots from our three round narrative event at TactiCon in Denver, Colorado this past weekend. This has been a great regular event series, with biannual “major” events at the regional conventions and stand alone events and game days every few months.
Next “major” event will be at GenghisCon in February, with a likely November event before then.
If you are in the area and interested in joining in, please let me know! We’ve got a core of regulars, as well as a steady influx of new players. It is a welcoming, fun and relaxed group!
Upcoming Legions Imperialis events on Aug 28 and Aug 29 in Denver, Colorado.

Gave this custom mission a play last weekend. I enjoyed the primary mission a lot. Not knowing where the objectives will be and how many points they are worth has at least a couple of positive consequences; it reduces the impact of Infiltration since objectives can’t be captured first turn and their location isn’t known, and in combination with Reserves it it helps the tempo of the game by shifting scoring to later in the game.
The Secondary and Tertiary objectives were an attempt to balance activation discrepancies and number of formations with scoring incentives rather than composition rules. Didn’t end up mattering much though since my opponent and I have similar numbers of activations and formations and neither of us were influenced in list building by the scoring rules. Also, there’s always the chance that scoring through killing ends up as a “win more” effect which would be detrimental to the experience. Would need more playtesting with different styles of lists.
Give it a try if you’re looking for some variety in missions and let me know what you think!
