Sanguinary Guard WIP

I painted a small space marine. Not advisable if you value your sanity and your sight.

Vindicator of the Laser Variety

I love the idea of a vindicator with the laser destroyer so was a bit sad the kit didn’t have one so made my own using some spare sponsons from the Spartans kit

New 3D printed interlocking roads (lots of pics)

Hello fellow Epic fans!

I'd like to share these 3D printed roads from Brian Konopa (AcmePropDept on Etsy). They are printed in multi-coloured PLA so are ready to use right out of the box, but can also be painted and weathered as you see fit. I've included pictures of some of mine that I weathered with a grimy brown wash for that dirty post apocalypse urban warzone look.

The roads are available in two-lane and four-lane versions to represent different road types/sizes, but the really ingenious feature is the connecting system which uses small steel pins that fit into holes on the ends of each road section. This is one of the best connecting/locking systems I've ever seen on a road system and it holds everything together tightly, preventing things from sliding around the table. They're also really thin, with the curbs standing about 2 mm high from the table, so they blend into the playing surface really well.

The ones shown in the pictures here are the standard pattern in terms of road markings, but Brian is a really nice guy and always happy to work with customers on custom markings.

The Predator tanks in the first picture are 8 mm scale to give you an idea of their dimensions (I didn't have a ruler or banana handy).

--------

Full disclosure: While I did give Brian a few pointers during the development phase (mostly as a wargamer consultant since he comes from the model railway world), I do not receive any money from the sales. I'm just happy to have helped him make something cool. :)

Looking for a Warmaster Iconoclast Desolator Chainsword

HI all,

I've recently brought the Legions Imperialis: War master Heavy Battle Titan with Plasma Destructors model, and am in the process of building and painting it.

I've decided that I'd quite like to have one arm as the plasma destructor and one arm as the desolator chainsword from the Iconoclast model, so I'm looking for the Desolator Chainsword from the Legions Imperialis Warmaster Iconoclast to add to my existing Warmaster Heavy Battle Titan.

Ideally I'm looking for the genuine GW part, either the complete arm or the relevant parts from the Iconoclast weapon sprue. I'm happy to buy if anyone has one spare from an Iconoclast build/conversion. I 'm also interested in alternative/third-party replacements that are the correct 8mm Warmaster scale and have a similar look to the GW Desolator.

I've already found the Battlebling Banesaw, but would love to know if there are any other alternatives or manufacturers people recommend.

Just to note I'm a painter and collector, I don't actually play tabletop so any tabletop implications for having the chainsword etc don't need to be factored in.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Blood Angels 2.5k - Drop Pods + Rhinos

I’m looking to build a 2,500pt Blood Angels army for Legions Imperialis with a specific theme:

- Assault Squads riding in Rhinos

- Some infantry / assault units arriving via Drop Pods

- Basically a fast, aggressive Blood Angels force that gets its Marines into melee as quickly as possible

I’m not necessarily looking for the most competitive list. I’d like it to be lore-friendly and still reasonably playable.

How would you build this at 2,500 points?

Which detachments would you take, and roughly how many Rhinos vs Drop Pods would you run?

Also interested in any existing BA lists using this kind of playstyle.

Kitbashed command Rhino

Adding a few more Rhinos to the transport pool and I figured I’d whip up a command version buddy.

Couple 40k marines bits sourced from eBay, a tarantula part and a whirlwind hull

Looking for a 2500pt Dark Mechanicum roster including Mechanicum Combat Force

I’m looking to build a 2500pt Dark Mechanicum army for Legions Imperialis, including the Mechanicum Combat Force.

Could anyone recommend a solid 2500pt roster? I’m mainly looking for something that works well on the table rather than just a thematic list.

Thanks!

Trying to figure out a color scheme for knights.

I've got a good portion of my army built and painted (Forge World Zhao-Arkhad and Legion Xestobiax) and I'm feeling confident with it. Only issue is now that I'm looking for knights, I can't figure out which household to do. I know there aren't many (if any) houses that are aligned directly with Thousand Sons, so should I pick a non-aligned traitor household, or should I go with the colors of Zhao-Arkhad?

Also, would it make sense to run a modified Psi-Titan with them, as they did have them (generic psi titans, not Ordo Sinister)

Initial IF 2k list

Hey all. Working through my painting and have most of this list ready to go so figured I’d put together what I had. My friend and I are playing friendly games so I’m not looking to be ultra-competitive or meta, just reasonable.

If you’re wondering about some of the decisions I was gifted some printed drop pods which I wanted to use.

https://legionbuilder.app/5d154b97-6b87-490c-ab91-f43529b1ebbf

Basically a garrison company using a lot of the support box and some whirlwinds, a drop pod company with tactical, leviathans, xiphons, and termies, and a rhino based demi company supported by preds and 2 typhons.

Thoughts?

Edit: bad link.

Warlord Titan

To celebrate the new rules I thought I would finish painting the plasma arms on this Warlord Titan. I have gone for a custom Titan Legion, inspired by the classic art of Imperius Dictatio

2500pt Saturnine Battle Group+ Astartes Combat Force + Fellblades roster help

Hey everyone, I’m getting into Legions Imperialis and could use some help building a 2500pt list.

I’ve bought:

- Saturnine Battle Group

- Astartes Combat Force

- 2x Fellblade boxes

I want to build a 2500pt roster around the Saturnine units, while making good use of the Astartes Combat Force and the two Fellblades.

I’m planning to play Alpha Legion.

What would be a good way to build the list with what I already have? Any advice on detachments, unit choices, and what I should buy next would be appreciated.
