What in the Zerg is that ?
I noticed this on the very last page of the founders edition starter set building manual,
Anyone have a clue what it is ? :D
We might have a new Zerg model coming sometime soon ^^

I’m wondering how everyone built their Zeratul promo, in clear plastic or fully painted ?
I really love the idea of clear plastic but also want to paint version,
I hate how there is only one base ;-;
I’m hoping you can simply slot on the base so you can switch between both, maybe a method of using magnets ?
I know a lot of people (including myself) wanted to know how long, when and who is delivering UK orders:
My order on the Archon Studios website got updated to “Sent”(from “Paid”) at 7am yesterday,
Got the package today - it was delivered via Royal Mail using the 48 parcel service,
If you get an order updated, you don’t get a tracking number but their order (on the website) is linked to royal mails status,
Hope this helps :)
Does anyone currently feel the damage taken is a lil high right now?
I burning through so many potion just basic grinding and don’t get me start if your doing KPQ between 21-26 xP
I find it’s hard loop, I take so much damage I burn a lot of pots, not much income to get new pots, can’t grind with pots xP

Lets see tho pretty blueberries <3
I'm a long time painter but only just starting to play the tabletop,
*Going to start out small with some close friends, mixture of Combat Patrol and 1000 Points games - nothing to meta/competitive.
Let me know what you think about the list and how im using each unit - vry open to ideas, advice from more veteran players ^^
----------
> Commander Farsight
- Command
He will be running solo since I cant add another battlesuit team (due to point cost) but running this the theme is Farsight Enclave.
> Commander in Coldstar Battlesuit + Crisis Sunforged Battlesuit Team
- Deep Strike / Anti-armour / Harasser
The idea is to have armoured/tank hunters, simple drop in, blaster, jump out using Starflare - simple but effective.
> Ghostkeel Battlesuit
- Middle Field / Anti-armour
Simply keep them near cover around the middle board area for control.
> Broadside Battlesuit (1 + 2)
- Backlines / Anti-armour
Simple; see big thing, shoot big thing.
> Riptide Battlesuit
- Anti-infantry
Main focus is for a stronger, more tanky sprayer to clear out light/medium units since the est of unit are more anti-armour focused
> Pathfinder Team
- Flanks / Markerlight
Poke and shoot harassment but mainly used to keep markerlights up for other units + they look cool.
> Stealth Battlesuit Team
- Deep Strike / Markerlight / Harasser
Pop up and marker/harasser backlines.

Long time painter, first time Tau player ~
I have a question if somebody is willing to help:
Whats the difference between the Coldstar and Enforcer HQ/leader battlesuits ?
From what I see (using the warhammer app), they can use the same loadouts, except the Coldstar has the high output burst cannon option,
I guess the point cost, +3 save on the Enforcer, and assuming hey have different abilities ?
Why would I not just run all Coldstars over Enforcers, what am I missing ?
Started my first T'au model within my soon-to-be battlesuit style army - rather than diving into painting the sub-assembly bits, I did the base first since its the part that doesn't get enough love ~
I went with simple, semi-clean, desert-earth, rocky arid style *with everyone's favorite space marine chapter ~
Honest feedback welcome - I feel I messed up on the larger rock since its was quite smooth and the cracks were quite flat so dry brushing was painful ;-;
*The photos make it all look more contrast yet in person, the colours are much more mute and better blended - I really need a better camera honestly xP
Its that time again: Tarantulas Turrets, am I right ?
So, from my understanding:
- Tarantulas Turrets can NOT move
- They MUST fire during movement phase (if not, during the advance phase)
- They MUST fire at the NEAREST target (matching its keyword: light, anti-tank, and skyfire)
Question:
From what I can understand, Tarantulas Turrets are counted as "standard infantry" - same as a legionnaire tactical model/base.
They can be mounted into transports such as Rhinos and they can dismount from said transport (or building if within base contact), right ?
I want to know:
Can they be mounted into Drop-pods in the same way as Rhinos ? I was hoping I could load them in and drop them in as a kinda reaction unit (sort of like using Drop-pods for normal detachments + deathstorm or shield Drop-pods)
For context:
I play Death Guard, I like to use their legion rule and Tarantulas Turrets for map control, funneling them into my strong points (or they will suffer some damage breaking past my marked terrain/turrets) x3
Via the rules, it should be do-able right ? From a "making sense" viewpoint, I can understand a Rhino crew deploying it but it couldn't get out a Drop-pod xD
So I've finally been able to start focusing on my DG legions models I've had sat there for so long ;D
I thought I should share the start of the project (I normal only post once finished) because I thought some people would love to see the true size of this "small" game when it s fully built ^^
I decided to prime/build all "buildable" models I can so I can focus on painting/batch painting... my god; you don't really realise how big/many you truly have until you line them up in formation...
*I had so many other projects ahead of this one but this one I looked forward to the most and now its time ~
-----
This is around 3.5k-4k points and is only around half the total collection available to buy, I only have around another £650-700 worth of plastic to obtain xD
I want to aim to have 5 infantry, 2 support, 2 fast attack, 2 saturnine, 2 of each drop pod type + a full box of each main weapon loadout for each tank :D
*It only took around 3 days of none-stop building to get all this built
**Everything is held together with blue tac so I can paint sub-assembly
***We are gonna need a bigger cabinet ;-;

Hope you enjoyed the post ~
(pray for me and my brushes)
Long time Warhammer painter, new to knights :D
Finally took the plunge and got some knights ^^
I have a Eye or Terror box, box of Armiger, and a Destirder to start with ^^
*I choose Frag/Gatling for the Destrider, x2 Warglavies, x2 Helverin, and Castellan
I'm really curious on how every choose their house/colours and what my next steps should be :3
I was thinking of getting a Knight Paladin and C-Rex box which would bring me to 2k points :3
Still trying to decide on what kinda environment I want for my display versions of BT, I'm going with the Armageddon crusader crest so I wanted a more, deserty style base, I feel its good but maybe lacks somethings ? (maybe its just me overthinking ?)
I feel once a fully painted models is added, it will not be the focus as much, since this is the only thing you can look at right now - also since this base is quite bright but the black of the templar will help balance it >3<
I'm going for a sun bleached, dust, dry theme - thoughts ? :D
*Note: I was to lazy to do the skulls fully since this is just a test base hehe
*Note 2: The last picture is my project cabinet where the grey templar sit until their time comes xD
Edit: The recipe:
*Alongside my own personal methods/way I do it - primary inspiration is form Games Workshops Eavy Metal team, other notable inspirations taken from "Duncan Rhodes Painting Academy" and "Nerael Miniatures"
1: Superglue any rocks and skulls to the base (in this case grey slate and skulls from "citadel skulls" box)
2: Apply PVE glue over the full base and cover in fine grain sand (leave for 30-60min to dry)
3: Prime black (I used Chaos Black from GWS)
*You could use Zandri Dust spray but it might may the base a little brighter due to the base coat layer)
4: Once dried, base coat everything with Dragon Claw (from Two Thin Coats)
5.1: Cover the base in a 1:1 watered down version of Water:Reikland Fleshshade (from GWS)
5.2: While still quite wet, dab/stipple 1:2 of Water:Agrath Earthshade (from GWS) to create dark spots while the wet/water lets it blend into the surrounding area
6: Heavy drybrush with Dragon Claw (from Two Thin Coats)
7: Medium drybrush with Skeleton Legion (from Two Thin Coats)
8: Edge drybrush upper-rim of base, edges of skulls, and edges of rocks with Screaming Skull (from GWS)
9: Paint rim with Steel Legion Drab (from GWS)
*10: Touch up upper-edge of rim with Screaming Skull (from GWS) if needed
11: Complete coat of AK ultra matta varnish over everything
12: Add any/mixture brown, beige or darker type grass tufts (I uses Dry Steppe Set from Gamers Grass)
13: Done !
