Welcome to Operation: Shadow Protocol
This is the very first iteration of the project. Our mission is simple: log and document harmful individuals online. To start up and show proof of concept we will be setting our eyes on a very small and niche community known as “DebateTok.” This community is teeming with predatory behavior and we’ve seen isolated communities expose separate individuals. We aim to compile, centralize and isolate this data for a clean, accessible and organized database.
We’ve chosen Reddit (I know, of all places right?) for several reasons:
-> it’s accessible to the world.
-> low cost and effective
-> it’s subreddit r/shadowprotocol will act as an intake for reports and information for our team to review and vet appropriately meanwhile the wiki will act as the official compiled database.
-> the appropriate post flairs will guide users through the data in an organized format that will allow ease of access while very simply providing the user with verified and reliable information or information completely that has been completely debunked depending on what individual the user is searching for.
-> easy, familiar format; quick build up and maintaining the database
-> most potential users know of or already have Reddit accounts- specifically members of “debatetok”
-> loose oversight from Reddit staff allows the lack of censorship that would not be tolerated on other platforms. Allows us to discuss the nitty gritty details of these vile people.
Our aim is to be transparent and accessible as possible. We’re not interested in smear campaigns or defamation against someone who differs in opinion from you. We aren’t interested in doxxing people (we actually want a list of accounts who are known doxxers so you know who to avoid). We want to create a database of confirmed and genuinely dangerous people who use the internet’s anonymity to do harmful things to society. The legal authorities have shown very little to no interest in ensuring these people are off and stay off the internet so we are now forced to log and document known accounts of these individuals.
For the record, we are not trying to bleed into the r/debatetok_snark community. That sub is primarily focused on drama. Our sub will be primarily be focused on actual predators, not what a drunken minxette is smearing on their face during a Saturday night TikTok Live. We aren’t welcoming to any drama- this isn’t the space for that bullshit.
We appreciate your time and we hope to see the community support and grow this project into fruition. It’s time to put our opinions on politics, drama and semantics aside to ensure the safety of internet as we know it.
