How difficult is switching to this domain

I'm an iOS developer with over 2.5 YOE. I've had interest in cybersecurity since my Uni days, even did my specialisation in cyber during my 6th sem, got placed in an mnc for cloud security role but didn't get the joining letter for like 1.5years. I was in need of a job obviously so I grabbed whatever opportunity I got and became an iOS dev.
I work in a lala company currently and I really need to get out of here before I can't anymore, but the market is really bad right now in general. iOS dev domain already had low demand from before but now it has become even worse.

So what are the chances of me successfully switching to cyber now? What is needed from me (like what I need to learn etc. as I've forgotten everything I learned about cyber in my Uni days) and are there any companies that would hire freshers like me?

NCC cadets handling traffic

I visited here for a weekend getaway and noticed ncc cadets were handling the traffic along with traffic police. Is this a normal sight here? Was quite impressed with how the whole traffic situation is handled.

What are the chances of getting recommended in my First/Last attempt

Title :)

So suddenly my long lost dream of becoming an army officer came back and is pestering me day and night so I decided to check how many attempts I have left.

I'm over the age limit for CDS so zero attempts there. For TGC entry I have 2 attempts left, of which I don't have confidence to give the upcoming one because I'm well let's just say I don't really have any OLQs + I'm not physically fit (underweight) right now + no prepration (these are some of the reasons I never tried to even attempt CDS or TGC or any other exam before this)

So I was thinking I'll work on myself first and then attempt next year, that will make it my first and last attempt. I'm mostly only doing it so that I'm not left with any regret that I never even tried. But still would like to know if there's even any chances that I can pull this off?

Doubts regarding hotels for stay

Me and my partner are planning to visit shimla next weekend, we will reach shimla late at night around 1-2AM as we will be traveling there by HRTC.

So we need a hotel close enough to the bus stand so that we can get there safely or is it unnecessary worry? How is the night scene there? Are taxis available at the bus stand and are they affordable?

Overall where would be the ideal place to book hotel at so that we don't have to spend too much on the taxis itself. We will be walking for the most part of it but I mean just to get to the main attraction we may need taxi or bus.

Please share thoughts and advices.
