A reader asked: “We are buying a home in Western Michigan, and the sellers want to arrange a post-closing possession agreement where we’d allow them to stay for a month or two after the close. But they don’t want to sign a formal agreement, pay us rent or give us a key until the possession period is over. We’ve been told that these arrangements are common, but we insisted upon a key, as we will own the home. Can the sellers make this demand? Isn’t the new owner responsible for the property once the closing has occurred?”

I would argue it’s when Franklin killed Andre. Andre was community — someone who watched Franklin grow up, who represented the world Franklin came from before the drugs. Killing him isn’t just eliminating a threat to the business, it’s severing the last tie to who Franklin used to be. And the fallout is immediate and personal.

Watching this season, I keep noticing a pattern in myself and wanted to check it against the sub. Last season I was firmly on Olandria’s side in the Taylor situation — no real hesitation. This season, watching Aniya and KC, I find myself with a lot more empathy for KC than I ever had for Taylor, and correspondingly less uncomplicated sympathy for Aniya than I had for Olandria. I don’t think I’m alone in this, based on some of the threads I’ve seen.
I’m not trying to defend everything KC did — the Casa Amor return clearly hurt Aniya, and that’s real. But something about how these two situations are landing feels different, and I’m trying to understand why:
Is it that Aniya was also exploring a connection with Carl, so it reads less like a clean loyalty/betrayal story than Taylor/Olandria did?

Is some of the hostility toward Aniya actually about the “Fulani braid” comment and the Bad Girls Club comparison, separate from how KC treated her?

Or is a chunk of this really about the interracial dating discourse that got attached to her and Carl, which changed the whole conversation into something more charged than a normal villa breakup?

Genuinely curious how others are experiencing this, especially if your read is the opposite of mine. Not trying to start a fight, just trying to understand why this season’s discourse feels so much rougher on one side than last season’s did.

Since Tarik Skubal was placed on the injured list on May 4, the Tigers are 3-16 and have gone from tied atop the AL Central standings to 10.5 games back and in last place. Pitching might seem like the logical weak spot given Skubal's absence, but the real problem has been an offense with an MLB-worst .592 OPS and just 2.95 runs per game in May.
