It feels like PTJ is focusing on the likability of these characters rather than the writing.
Besides Elite the fist gang feel really flat, there’s no build up or anything. We’ve waited years for this arc to happen and I really do hope things change in the future.
By now everyone should be aware of Elites obsession with the Yamazaki specifically anything that has to do with Shingen. Even after the pre gen ended and the Yamazaki lost Elites obsession still remained consistent.
In 613 elite expresses his desires to literally become a Yamazaki himself, but he points out that he can’t due to genetic limitations. However modern Elite doesn’t have this problem, as now Elite has the formula to transfer consciousness into another body.
You can look at every interaction SB Daniel and Elite have had and one thing is made pretty clear. Elite has never cared about the fact that he lost that body to Daniel. He was more bothered at the way Daniel was using the body, because Elites end goal has always been something else.
I’m gonna throw this out there, it’s likely that the bodies Daniel and Crystal possess were mere tests and the 3rd body Elite is going to make will be the final product.
If you think about it Elite had no reason to even create the 2nd bodies in the first place. He had became successful and all of his enemies were dead, he literally had everything. Except the thing that he obsessed over since the very beginning.
no matter how great Elite became he was still envious of the Yamazaki‘s. Not because of their strength but rather who they were as people. Envy is the most disgusting human emotion.
The real question is how did Elite really get access Shingens body? There isn’t really a way to properly answer this question due to Elite and Shingens relationship still being unexplored.
I am going to guess that the answer links with Elite recruiting Gun. As Gun is Elites access to the Yamazaki.
