Is the nanit baby monitor worth it or is it marketing for tired parents??
first baby on the way and the price gap between a basic monitor and a smart one is kind of wild. you can get something that shows video and plays white noise for $60 or spend five times that for features most people describe as nice to have. the thing that keeps pulling me back from just going cheap is people saying they ended up buying twice. once for the basic monitor then again after realizing they wanted more. thats not really saving money either. for people who went one way or the other what was the actual difference in daily use? not the spec sheet but the real stuff.
