RGBA Texture Packer

I often found myself opening Substance Designer & Photopea just to pack Roughness, Metallic and AO maps into a single texture, so I built a small tool to make the process faster.
The tool runs entirely in your browser. Your images are processed locally and are never uploaded or sent to any server.

Pack Roughness, Metallic, AO or other maps into RGB(A) channels in seconds. No installation, no account, no uploads.

Useful for Unreal Engine, Unity, Blender and any PBR workflow.

Try it here: Texture Packer

I also created an automated ORM Texture Packer. It automatically detects AO, Roughness, and Metallic maps based on their filenames and places them into the correct channels. You can upload individual textures or entire ZIP files, and export a new ZIP containing the generated ORM texture while keeping all other maps untouched.

Feedback is always welcome. I'm continuously adding new free textures, 3D Models, and tools to ShareTextures. If there's anything that would make it more useful for your workflow, feel free to let me know.

10 Scanned Fine Wood Textures

A little behind-the-scenes note: this pack was created while I was experimenting with a new fully automated photometric stereo rig. The setup uses 24 LEDs and captures 12 different directions and 2 different angles automatically. (If you wonder old one)
I visited a woodworking shop and purchased real wood veneer samples.
The scan area is limited to approximately 25×25 cm, which makes seamless progress much more challenging.

The system shows great potential for scanning foliage atlases and fabrics, but it wasn't the best choice for these wood samples. As a result, some of the seamless processing isn't as clean as I'd like, and the PBR maps may not be as consistent as my usual work. I still have plenty of wood samples, but I’m not sure whether it’s worth capturing them.

Still, a lot of time and effort went into creating these textures, and I thought some of them might be useful for furniture, interior visualization, or other projects, so I decided to share them anyway.

If you end up using wood textures in your renders, I'd love to see the results! Feel free to share your artwork with me, and I may feature it on the asset page to show others what these textures can achieve in real-world projects.
