I want to get into the black panther comic books

I'm a black man who's always been interested in black heroes, from static shock, to like cage, to storm, and black panther. But I don't read that many comic books.

Recently, I've just picked up the habit and I want to know what books/series should I start with to get an understanding of T'challa. What comic runs are his best/your favorite. Is there a specific order I should go in? Does one run better represent him more than another?

Let me know and give me recs please,

Thank you.

Tips for interview?

Hello, me and my sibling both have interviews for an entry level paraprofessional/behavioral aide position tomorrow. While my sibling has experience (was a DSP for close to a year), I do not. My past jobs have been kid adjacent but I haven't really worked with children, let alone children with disabilities. But I'm not a stranger to them, one of my close family members has autism and is somewhat high on the spectrum, in my current security job I've been around children with disabilities and can spot them somewhat easily. I also may have adhd- my mother is also a professor of special education so I've been close to disabilities my whole life. I know some of what the job takes from discussing with my sibling, I know patience is a big thing. Which is good because I have that in spades. I'm really tall (6'7), so I believe that plus my calm demeanor will be a good addition. I've been in very observant positions like volunteer coordinating, security, along with some administrative jobs on the side.

All in all I just need tips, what do hirers want to hear? Is there anything about myself I should highlight?

The area I live in really needs people in this field, I have a lot of career growth opportunities here so I feel like I need to land this. Any tips would be appreciated.

Due to my upbringing, I have actual care for people with disabilities, I want to be apart of a process that helps them live their life to the fullest and one day become independent. If there's any hard truths that I need to hear about the job as well, I'm all ears.

Thank you for your help in advance- sorry about being all over the place- ADHD...

I think we should go back to farming

I think we should go back to farming

I know agriculture and the American black community don't have that much of a good history together, but I think we should, in large, move back to farming. Whether you have a lot of land and you can transform it into some food paradise, or you have a small backyard and can only plant a few small fruits and vegetables, or you live in an apartment. There's always some sort of plant that could thrive in your space.

Black farmers make up less than 2% of all farmers in the US. If some of us believe that governmental powers might be doing harmful things to our community, and they have done them in the past-- why not educate ourselves to have control over one of our most basic needs?

With the FDA having faced budget tightening and forced reductions, and more food infections popping up day by day. One of the most important things is going to be getting food from a place you trust. Who can you trust more than yourself, and furthermore, people who look like you.

Im just saying I'd like to see a large portion of us learning how to grow fruits/vegetables again. It's not difficult and I our community needs to be more self reliant. I'm not saying you need to grab a farmers hat and move out to the country, just look at the space you have and ask yourself how it can be changed to make you more self reliant. The goal for me is to save up some money to buy land to start a farm for my family.

Overall, I think more people should have that goal with the vast amount of empty farmland around the US. Let's educate ourselves and take back some power.

Thanks for reading, I just thought about it off the top of my head. Love you guys.

What punisher run should I get?

I've seen bits and pieces of the punisher across different forms of media, the daredevil TV show, his own tv show, Spider-Man BND, and bits and pieces of his different comic runs I can find on YouTube. I really like the character, the dark, gritty, unfeeling machine that mows through criminals and ends up doing some good. I want to read one of his comic runs from start to finish to really understand the character.

The question is, which one do I read? I know there's a new series that just started up this year? There was a cool one that I saw bits and pieces of where he fought against Spider-Man and the avengers which was really cool. I heard that punisher max or something like that was terrible, whichever one that was written by Garth Ennis but I'm just parroting that- I don't actually know.

So put me on! Which series should I read? I'm ready to have a new favorite character over Batman!
