I know Carl and Ego were on it and I believe at the end while doing plugs Carl just completely tunes out and is on his phone and just completely stops responding - remember finding that moment very funny and would love to relisten!
I recently found out that my landlord (or more my landlord's son in law) is asking me to move out of my rent stabilized apartment to make way for his daughter, and if I don't voluntarily leave he can evict me at the end of my lease.
For further context, I know that this is one of the only ways that you can get a rent stabilized tenant out, but the family already occupies 1 unit in the building, and so is this still allowed? They also didn't ask any other units, just mine.
They are also offering me money (trying to negotiate more) to voluntarily leave - I feel like I should take this option if they can kick me out anyway, just makes me afraid that I have no legal recourse in case they are lying or do not occupy the unit for 3 years like the law requires them too. Anyone have any insight or gone through something similar?
