Anybody know were to get a rep of this model?
Hey there! Does anyone know if these Seiko Sport 5 in Orange are available somewhere as reps? Maybe you have a link or know a TD (or non) that might be able to get/have it?
I appreciate all the help!
EDIT: Retail price in my country is €490 / $560 usd. Maybe that explains a bit more why im looking for a rep in my situation.
EDIT: It seems i cant straighten an picture correctly, because u/Blitzburgh058 did it and now the alignment is perfect (see picture i added in comments). With that its an easy GL for me.
I often hear that Worldtimer reps are generally not the best quality/detail-wise, is this true? I’m worried that it might not get much better than this if I RL this one and ask for a new QC on another piece. Another factor is that I also don’t want to RL too often.
I know these are reps and that they will never be as good as the genuine piece, but I’m unsure whether it can realistically get better than this. That’s why I’m curious to hear your experienced opinions.
What do you guys think i should do, or what would you do in this situation?
QC Report:
Dealer name: Andiot Watches
Factory name: VSF
Model name (& version number): Omega Auqa Terra Worldtimer GMT Summer Blue / Nmbr: 220.10.43.22.03.002
Price Paid: $308 +shipping
Album Links: https://andiotwatches.x.yupoo.com/albums/240630727?uid=1
Index alignment: As shown in the first photo, it mainly looks like the upper-left section of the hour markers is not aligned correctly, specifically the 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 o’clock markers. I straightened the photo as much as possible, and with that the right side does appear to line up correctly. In addition, the 6 o’clock marker also seems to be slightly crooked, and the 9 o’clock marker appears to sit slightly more towards the bezel, or to be smaller than the 3 o’clock marker when looking at the dial print lines.
Dial Printing: Looks okay to me.
Date Wheel alignment/printing: In my opinion it looks like its a bit crooked to the left. But i think this is because the 6 o’clock marker is also a bit crooked.
Hand Alignment: Looks normal to me.
Bezel: Looks okay.
Solid End Links (SELs): Seems okay to me.
Timegrapher numbers: Rate: -1 s/d, Amplitude: 278, Acceptable beat error: 0.0ms / ? bpm
Anything else you notice: Besides the hour markers, and the fact that this also makes the date window appear slightly crooked, nothing else really stands out to me. To be honest, I’m not entirely sure what to think of it, as this is my first rep and I’ve heard that Worldtimers are known for not being the best when it comes to reps. What do you guys think? I would almost say RL, but I’m not sure whether it gets much better than this for a Worldtimer. I don’t think i have enough knowledge to judge that properly. I’d appreciate your opinions.
