Everything old is new again

Unfortunately, the only surviving villain is Vultureman, so we had to substitute with some Master's of the Universe bad guys. But ever since I played the Thunder Cats TV show intro my Boy has been hooked - WilyKat is his favorite.

The game: I'll pick him up and fly him through the room Superman-style while he holds Nerf balls. He'll drop his "Bombs" on the bad guys, when they get knocked over they go to jail.

Side note: The last time I played with these toys it was on carpeted floors. Ow my knees!

Familiar items found in a box from Mom's house. Pour one out for some fallen toys.

Last pic: G.I. Joe Skystriker Conquest X30, Dino Riders T-Rex and Micro Machines Cargo Transporter. Sad to see these go.

(Thank you for the correction OCDriftwood!)

Were the pull levers on cigarette vending machines really difficult to pull, or was it just my little boy arms that struggled?

Have you ever been in that situation, where someone's never seen Demon Knight and you're trying to explain Billy Zane's character?

Since most of you are familiar with these folks - which is the likeliest to have just ripped one in this elevator?

(X-Men '97 - just discovered this show last week and wow, can't recommend it enough. Just thought this screenshot was funny for some reason)

I usually lasted until the Ariel HK/pick-up truck attack and then had to pump in some more quarters.

Animatrix -The Second Renaissance: sorry for the Doom

It felt utterly outlandish at the time to imagine a world where humanity would not just accept, but actively applaud, the systematic destruction of the atmosphere.

I'm also just curious in general - I'm sure 90% of us has seen The Matrix, but have most of us also seen the Animatrix?

I average about one movie a month, which I'm planning for this weekend. How would you advise me on The Running Man remake (2025)?

Ben Richards, a principled rebel who refuses to submit to a corrupt regime. Yeah, that might be just the escapism I need right about now. Any alternative recommendations?

( never read the book; as I understand it, the book version may differ a bit)

I assume most of us are rarely getting fast food these days, but how about your 20's/30's? When you were in your 'fast-food prime' did you ever encounter a "Whammy Burger"?

Obviously most restaurants partake in deceptive marketing regarding their presentation, but the egregious offering that D-Fens got in Falling Down may have been a step beyond. So I wonder, did you ever encounter something to that level?
