[TOMT] [PICTURE BOOK] Children’s book I read in 1st, 2nd or 3rd grade about a circle wanting to become a new shape
I remember reading a picture book when I was younger. It featured a circle (or possibly a triangle, the details are kinda fuzzy) who was jealous of other shapes having sides. So, he went to this magician who turned him into a square. Still unsatisfied, he goes back to the magician who then turns him into a pentagon. Cycle repeats until he becomes this weird angular blob. So, he goes back to the magician who turns him back into a circle. It’s standard children’s book material with the whole “don’t be ashamed to be yourself” stuff and all that jazz. I don’t know how to describe the style, but it reminds me of Oingo Boingo album artwork (e.g. Good For Your Soul). Anybody have any what this could possibly be?

Need help with something (image unrelated)
I saw a post on this sub talking about a hypothetical slice-of-life comic where prog-rock bands are portrayed as anime girls. So, I got an idea to actually try and make it. Basically, they’re all attending a boarding school somewhere in the Midlands. However, I need help with two things.
- More detailed character personalities; right now, their personalities range from sort of detailed to bare bones. Obviously, you can’t edit the character doc to avoid vandalism, but you can help out in this post’s comment section.
- Name; I don’t have an official name for it. Right now, it’s called Progzumanga Daioh, but that is very much a placeholder name. If you guys have better suggestions, go ahead.
