I know it’s kinda hard to imagine seeing that it’s basically a whole different show, but I can’t help but wonder how The Chi plays out if Brandon doesn’t get cancelled?

I think some of these characters story arcs were meant for Brandon…the most obvious one I think is Brandon replacing Emmett as the frontman for Smokey’s. I also could have seen Brandon and Tiff getting together, him falling out with Emmett because of it, but eventually setting their differences aside to kill Duda. That would’ve likely set up Bakari being the new Duda instead of Nuk with the finale going into a Bakari vs Brandon situation.

Some other thoughts

I think Papa gets killed off in a earlier season(that’s why his current character really doesn’t have a storyline) by Bakari which turns Jake into a real street dude

Emmett and Kesha still ends up together, but instead of the baby being Nuk’s its Reg’s.

Instead of running Smokey’s, Emmett probably opens up his own shoe store or dispensary and leans into the fashion stuff instead of Jake. He probably still gets caught up with Duda fronting his business.

Trig probably stays one foot into politics and one foot in the streets and succeeds Duda as the dirty politician character

Brandon gf likely becomes whatever the hell Kyla Pratt character is doing

Basically I think Brandon’s character if he stayed on the show would’ve been a blend of Rob & the business side of Emmett
