Train Cancelled 19th Sept NYC to Boston

Hi all

I’m visiting Boston for a wedding in September but all of the trains have been cancelled on the day of travel. I’m from the UK so not used to this “oops sorry here zero reasons but sort yourself out without compensation” malarkey, and a bit stuck

I have to travel on the 19th, so it seems the direct train is not an option now

Would really appreciate some help from locals on other ways I can get from NYC to Boston. I only paid about $32

Thanks

Final draft! Thoughts?

After many drafts I think I’ve landed on this one.

Some players in there that won’t start all season, but planning on transferring out MLS and seeing how Gyokeres and Cunha do

Happy with the defence, and feel Andrey Santos is a steal at £5m considering United’s first few games and him being a nailed on starter for now

What are your thoughts?

Advice on address history within Mortgage in Principle applications, and full applications too

Hi all

I'm here to ask a question that often bothers me not only with mortgages, but any credit - I'm just a little concerned about how it works with mortgages due to the stringent checks

For my 3 year address history, I've lived with my fiancee for 2.5 of them in rented properties, and then the 0.5 years before that we lived separately

When I put in my actual address history, it's as if they can never verify them and I fail credit checks. My score is 'very good'. This is despite having credit attached to both addresses in the past.

When I put in my current address, and then my family home address (which seems to be the only one down as a previous address on my credit file) it says Congratulations we can offer you this lovely amazing mortgage.

I've noticed even not putting the same email address as what is on my credit file fails the check. Ridiculous, but not why I'm here

I just want to know, can I obtain a mortgage in principle by using the above workaround, and then provide actual full address history when applying for the mortgage itself without it causing any issues due to discrepancies with the MIP? Or, is there a way to update my credit file so that the robots behind the MIP checks can find my credit file?

Any help appreciated.

Side note, what is the typical interest difference between a 95% and 90% mortgage? 90% on the MIP I've actually seen the rates on is around 4.75%.

Thanks!

Hi all

Hoping for some advice

I’m looking to buy a property with my partner in the next 18 months or so. I’ve always had an excellent credit score and no negative markers on my credit record

Recently my phone was stolen out of my hand in London and they were somehow able to balance transfer £2800 out of my NatWest credit card into another credit card.

NatWest fully refunded the money, and I’ve managed to successfully change all my details and retain access to my accounts

NatWest told me however that just in case they obtained my details in my phone, they’ve handed my details to CIFAS so that if a new account is opened it will flag for extra security

I just want to know if this will affect my mortgage lending ability, or at least make it harder/more expensive?

I’m planning on ringing NatWest to have the CIFAS marker removed within the next 3 months anyway, but not sure if it’s permanent

Hi all,

I’m not asking for advice on next steps as thankfully NatWest, my credit card provider, are refunding me, but I just want to know how the fuck fraudsters are able to do this?

My phone was stolen out of my hand in London, and it was unlocked but I was only texting someone, not on banking apps.

For the few days after, it seemed all they managed to do was get an uber eats order and a taxi. I rang up NatWest to check the day after and I was told no activity to worry about

A few days after that, so today, I had an email saying I’m nearly at my credit limit.

£2.8k was balance transferred out of my account, dated the night I had my phone stolen (I’d already blocked my phone and affected accounts)

How the fuck can they do that? There’s no way they’d get in to the NatWest app, I hadn’t even had it set up properly and had to enter the 3rd, 4th and 14th letter of my password and all that jazz

Any ideas? NatWest told me they can see the account details, but for me to have an investigation set up I’d need to wait for the refund. I just want the money back in now, so guess I’ll never find out
