When is the best time to take fluvoxamine to avoid side effects?

I’m on fluvoxamine for MDD, Anxiety and OCD. This week I increased my dose to 100 mg. I am trying to figure out the best time of day to take the medication. When I was taking 50 mg I was taking it all in the morning to help with the insomnia. Now that I am on 100 mg I’m not sure if I should take the entire dose in the morning or to split the dose and take 50 mg in the morning and 50 mg at night. Yesterday I took 50 mg in the morning and 50 mg at night. I fell asleep fine but I woke up at 3 AM and could not get back to sleep. This morning I took all 100 mg in the morning. I am extremely nauseous and very tired, which is odd because I also am having sleeping. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance. I think the medication is helping, but I really need to get past these side effects.

Severe side effects

I took my first and only dose of compounded Tirzepatide with B12 on Thursday. I took 2.5mg. Starting on Friday, I have felt the most intense anxiety I have ever felt. I’m also feeling very depressed. I am having trouble sleeping as well. I have GI side effects and zero appetite but am not worried about that. Has anyone else experienced intense anxiety and depression? I called the website that prescribed the meds, but they don’t have a nurse available until Monday. I will go to the ER if it gets worse, but just looking for some advice from anyone that may have experienced this?

I am done with this medicine. I disclosed on my intake form that I suffer from anxiety and depression and take both anti anxiety and antidepressants, but they approved me anyway. 😡 Does anyone know how long until I might feel better? How long does it take to leave your system? Thank you

I started fluvoxamine a little less than 2 weeks ago for OCD, MDD, and severe anxiety. I started to feel some benefits pretty quickly, along with some side effects - mainly insomnia and diarrhea. My initial dose was 50mg at night. I also take Nefazodone and Klonopin.

I checked in with my psychiatrist at the end of the week to let him know how I was doing. He said to take the dose in the morning to help with the insomnia and to increase the fluvoxamine to 100mg. I immediately changed to morning dosing which might have helped a little with the insomnia.

I tried taking 75mg of fluvoxamine in the morning the last 2 days. The insomnia came back worse - tossing and turning all night and wide awake at 4AM and cannot go back to sleep. Plus I have terrible nausea and have thrown up shortly after taking my dose. I am feeling much worse on 75mg. My anxiety is horrible and I just don’t feel right. The anxiety is so bad, klonopin hardly touches it. I’m going to lower back down to 50mg.

I see my psych on Friday and will talk to him about all this but was wondering if 50mg was enough of a dose for anyone? Or maybe I need to give 50mg more time before increasing to 100mg?

Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated. Thanks so much!
