Early 80's scifi?

It's been decades, but there's a movie scene I keep remembering flashes of, and have never been able to place. Saw this on TV around 1981, I think, live action with a stop motion monster. the heroes, a man and a woman, are hiding behind a rock pile waiting for some kind of laser gun to recharge, and the monster keeps draining it by hitting it with it's frog-like tongue (or maybe a tentacle?), at least once by snaking it quickly around a corner without showing the rest of itself. The level of special effects make me think of something like the original "Land of the lost" but I don't recall any laser guns in that. And I'm pretty sure it was on in prime time, not a saturday morning show. Any ideas?

Dad's sword collection for sale

Inherited these a few years ago, and as cool as they are, I just don't have the space or skills to keep them clean and displayed properly. Some are in pretty good shape and have a sharp edge, others have some superficial rust and need some love. All except the axe have an included scabbard. They range in size from about 20" to about 48" long; for comparison the tiles in the pictures are each 12" square.
Would prefer to meet up locally, I'm in Harrisburg, about 30 mins from the PA renfaire at Mt Hope. Make an offer!

Evolution of my hardware hilt

Some progress pics of my first hardware hilt. Really pleased with the overall result!
From my raw parts assembly- a mix of plastic and metal plumbing and electrical conduit parts. The 1.5" sink drain basket I thought would make a great emitter, and the holes would let me add some embellishments easily. Once I got a couple of the parts painted and laid out (using some internal washers to keep everything a little more centered) I 3d printed some LOTR-inspired leaves for the emitter, and a Zelda-inspired lattice mesh (the Temple of Time window from the N64 version of Ocarina of Time) with a space for a bit of rectangular textured metal I found (might have been a plaster rasp? feels like a cheese grater, but not sharp enough to hurt skin). My first attempt at the emitter leaves was too wiggly, and needed 2 sets of nuts to hold them in place, so I made a thicker version that accounted for the lip on the basket. The only other thing I may do is drill a hole near the pommel so I can screw on a covertec wheel and use it on a belt clip.

Future MGS series Wishlist

I've seen rumors about some of the Jazwares team lurking in these forums (I miss the days when we'd get folks like Maxwell Lux to actually interact and let us ask questions!) so I wanted to give my own shoutout to the teams working so hard to make this line we love. Individual QC issues from the shippers and store supply chain/availability issues aside, I'm still having a blast collecting and playing with these toys, and can't wait for every new wave. Thanks for all you do!
That being said, here are my suggestions for stuff I'd love to see down the line:
-All the different colored scooter speeders the Modders used in Book of Boba Fett (even just one we can recolor and customize would be great!)
- the H-class Nubian yacht - could come with Padme, a figure we definitely need in the line!
-Kay Vess' rides from Outlaws. The Trailblazer (with speeder) would make a great set
-Some of the Riot Racers from Bad Batch. Tech deserves more representation
-All the vehicles seen on Kashyyyk in Episode III, but especially the Wookie stuff.
-There was a tease for a 1st order tie with both Finn and Poe figures way back in series 5, I think - how do we not have this yet?

Update- the Hairline Strikes Back!

About a month ago, my friend and I agreed on a wager for our both turning 50 this year. Whoever was the worse victim of male pattern baldness would pay for new Lightsabers for us both! We submitted pictures here, and the community stepped up... to point out which of us was more in denial, lol. As promised, here are our results!

As the loser of the bet, I also embraced the shorn side.

We did our research, and settled on a couple of VHC hilts with NeoPixel blades from TheSaberFactory:

The deal they had also hooked us up with a baselit "learner" model, just so we'd have an extra to mess around with if we wanted to swap parts. This, of course, became our first steps into a larger world... getting to play with the settings and see what the electronics were capable of have inspired us further down the rabbit hole of customization!
Thanks to everyone who voted!

New Flight stand for the Patrol LAAT

Happy Juneteenth!

Just posted a new flight stand for the LAAT/le (patrol gunship) that includes a detachable ramp for your landing party, similar to what I made for the Lambda shuttles. Check it out in my shop here: Laat/le 3D Printed Flight Stands (for Micro Galaxy Squadron) - Etsy
I've also been working to tidy up some of my listings; my STL section has been completely revamped, and I added a new listing for the ridable Dewback and Tauntaun files. I'll be doing a similar regrouping with the physical listings in the coming weeks (apologies if that messes with anyone's saved carts).
Got my hands on the Hyena bomber and hovertank a few days ago, so new accessories for those are hopefully coming soon too!
