Hello everyone. I've been enlisted in the military for 11 months now, and all those 11 months I was reading various Tales on my phone, my mates and higher-ups who had the glorious privilege to peek over random stories on my screen always gave me the same question: What is SCP?

I tried explaining it as interestingly as I could, but my delivery was rather off...

The premise of SCP is truly fascinating, but due to its uniqueness it's difficult to articulate the appeal of it. It's like trying to explain to my grandparents how to make a phone call in Viber.

In other words, simply explaining "It's a collaborative fiction project featuring a fictional organization dedicated to containing supernatural entities" won't cut it.

With that said, how would you explain the SCP foundation to someone detached from passionate fiction projects?
