Any better apps for drawing floor plans than notability

I use my iPad Pro to make floor plans for my store for inventory. Every wall and fixture needs to be drawn in.

Notability works fine for the most part. It’s a lot faster than hand drawing because I can copy paste the fixtures instead of drawing them in a million times. I’m just wondering if there’s a better app out there for this purpose considering notability is primarily a note taking app.

I want to move my ONT. Can I open the little box on the wall and connect a longer cable?

I want to move my ONT. The fiber cable that connects to it runs into that slim box on the wall. Is it plugging into something there, or is it running outside? Can I just open it and plug in a longer fiber cable, or do I need to use a coupler?

Can you buy fiber comparable to this separately?

Running Ethernet in wall doesn’t seem to be a good option for me, and my wife doesn’t like the cable raceways I currently have.

I like the fiber in this kit, but I need at least 5, preferably 10 gig media converters, so I don’t want to pay for the 1 gb versions included in the kit.

Can’t play with on my iPad with AirPods connected

I’ve been trying to figure out the “your connection to your pc is slow” message for a few days; turns out it was nothing to do with my pc.

If my AirPods are connected to my iPad mini, it’s unplayable. Stutters, freezes, awful frame rates. Disconnect them and it’s immediately perfect again.

The automatic pairing is off, airdrop/location services off, it’s on the correct channel so AWDL doesn’t interfere.

Game is not matching resolution

I’ve been trying since last night to get God of War Ragnarok to run in 2560x1600. I even installed Apollo and used the virtual display but no matter what I do, GoW in game resolution is stuck in 2560x1440. I’ve overridden it in both moonlight client settings and the apollo dashboard everywhere I can find but it doesn’t work, stream stats say 2560x1600 but game still reports 1440p.

I’m stuck playing in boosteroid and waiting 30 minutes every time I want to play, can’t believe people like this service.

Those of you on a 5 gig plan, what speeds are you actually getting?

Just curious. When I was on the 2 gig plan I was getting about 2.5-2-7. Switched to the 5 since it was only another $10/mo and now getting 4-4.5 to the router.

Not really a problem, just curious if that’s expected or if it should be actually hitting 5Gbps.

Spatial Audio not available?

I’ve enabled it in settings but when I go to AirPods settings in control center, Spatial Audio is greyed out and says not available.

Does it only work with certain games? I’ve only tried cyberpunk and expedition33.

SFP+ from router to PC

What would be the best way to accomplish this? A PCIE Sfp+ port for the pc, or an rj45 adapter for the router? Router is on my desk so length is not an issue.

I can go from 2.5GB fiber to 5GB for $10/mo, but my APs and switches are 2.5 so I’ll need to use the SFP+ ports on my UCG Fiber.

Are data speeds of POE injectors just baloney?

I needed one same day and just ordered the one that got delivered the soonest. Didn’t think about data speed ratings. Noticed just now that the box says gigabit, but it’s reporting a 2.5 link and I’m getting 1200-1800 mbps from the AP hooked up to.

Also, should a flex 2.5 Poe be reporting more than 16w available powered off the POE port of the UCG Fiber? I thought Id get 30W.

Best AP placement

I just picked up Cloud Gateway Fiber and u7 Pro bundle, wondering about AP placement. I think I’ve chosen roughly the most central location, but not sure if it’ll matter much which wall I place it on (A, B or C) or if I should ceiling mount.

Those of you with 2020 iPad Pro, how’s it doing?

Not asking for tech support, I can take it to Apple for that. Just wondering if my experience is shared.

Mine has been really slow of late and I’m wondering whether it’s just mine or if it’s getting too old for newer OS versions. I see it’s still supported for iPadOS 27 so it should be handling 26 better than it currently is.

Apple TV Enhanced Issues

I’m trying to install the ATV enhanced plugin and having issues. First, the “set up child bridge” option as described in the pairing instructions is missing. It’s there for the ring plugin but not this one.

Second, the pairing instructions say there will be a link in the logs to follow in order to pair the ATV, but there is no such link. In fact there’s nothing at all in the logs from Apple TV Enhanced, only Ring.

Any ideas off what I might be doing wrong.

Microcenter has UDR7 plus u7 Pro access point for $379, is it likely to get cheaper during sales?

Just wondering if it’ll be cheaper during future sales based on previous years.

Just set up Homebridge on Pi 3B+, looking for 64bit option, is Pi 5 w/ 1GB memory enough?

Since 32bit support is ending next spring, node.js wont update, and some of the plugins I was looking at require 64bit, I think I want to upgrade.

Is the 1GB Pi5 option enough? Microcenter has that for ~$40, or a pi 400 for ~$50. They don’t seem to have the 2GB option, and I feel like the 4GB would be overkill?

Mainly I want to use Homebridge for the ring camera integration into HomeKit, but I was also looking at the Apple TV plugin that reports it makes the remote app more responsive.

Any way to diagnose why moca isn’t working on home coax

I’m guessing something is weird with the wiring, because there are two coax ports in both the living room and bedroom. When we had cable internet, I know only one of the coax ports worked, but I’ve never connected anything to either bedroom coax.

Got some moca adapters today and there is no moca link light. Connected them directly via a short coax and it lit up so i don’t think it’s the adapters. Tried both ports in both rooms, but to no avail.

Where do I go from here?

GeForce Now Best Resolution for Mini?

I’m trying to use GeForce now on my iPad mini and struggling to get the resolution right. I think 1920x1200 was the closest match, but it makes text difficult to read.
