19” 2.5lb flounder, tons of speckled trout, pompano and spots

Never done it before but went to YouTube university to see what I could do. Here’s what I’ve got so far.

The top in line (AFW 44lb single strand) has about 24” from hook (#4 4x)to ball bearing swivel (SaltX welded ring #3 167 test)

I’m a small fish guy, born and raised fishing small fish pier(spots/flounder)/ inshore /freshwater. I’ve been working on my Pokédex of fish from a pier. I’m looking for help picking out a king trolley set up. I know how to make the release leader but not sure what rod/reel combos to get for anchor rod and fighting rod. Any help is much appreciated! Also trying to learn so I can take my young son fishing in the near future TIA!!

Been catching spots off the sunset beach pier the past few weeks. Been probably 10 times or so and caught spots every morning 6am-Before lunch. It dies off hard after. Haven’t seen any pulled up and over today or yesterday.

Can’t wait for the fall run🎣
