I do not get the timing on switch RotN

Bought the game on sale on switch 2, having so much fun, perfect rhythm game

However, as I'm starting to go for FC's, I'm starting to notice a weird pattern - the game recognizing that I hit a beat, but also for some reason registering it as a missed beat. It happens completely randomly and unpredictability with basically no consistency, with the exception that it always happens on my trigger buttons. My triggers don't have any issues, but I have no idea if there's some sort of bug where the triggers are incredibly prone to being misread. I tried to use the shoulder buttons instead and that works better, but it is REALLY uncomfortable to claw my hands around like that..

Is there some sort of timing I'm missing, or do I actually just have to find a better button map?

What in the hell have I been doing wrong that I haven't even interviewed?

I (21F) graduated college in May and I've been looking nonstop for jobs since. I have over 200 applications sent in the last few months, and I have yet to score a single interview. My parents are extremely firm and expect me to have a job ASAP - its been creating a ton of pressure, and my only part-time job at the moment pays me a pittance for about an hour of work a week.

For some info, I graduated from a pretty established arts college with a degree in Communications and a minor in Film and TV Production. I've taken several unpaid internships over the years with the caveat that none of them are major names. I know some people who have gotten chances to intern at places like Universal or Gox, but my positions have been a lot smaller. Still, I have 3 years of career experience under my belt, I have several really solid college projects to present, and I'm extremely passionate about my career path, marketing media and brands on digital platforms and social media and the like.

And yet, I have gotten absolutely nothing. I've talked to a few different contacts about advice, and they've said "its all fine, its all good". I've adjusted my portfolio, I've changed my resume from a pretty Canva one to a basic Docs one to be more ATS-friendly, I've directly emailed companies, I've used LinkedIn, I've used Handshake, I've used Indeed, I went to a really popular job conference and met a few contacts but by now they've mostly ghosted me. The only contacts I've ever gotten are from scams and devilcorps. I got the ability to take the Google employment quiz to qualify for an apprenticeship, but I failed it. Absolutely nothing has changed, and all the while my parents are breathing down my neck.

I have absolutely no idea why I am getting completely ignored by the entire career pipeline.. except for one wrinkle I didn't mention. I am a trans female and I don't really pass at all, I can not change my legal name because of my conservative catholic parents, I am pretty explicit about my preferred name and my legal name and such and such. I really don't want to believe it's that, I don't want to have to change it to only list my deadname and only reveal my identity after I potentially get hired, but that literally feels like the only thing left that could possibly be holding me back.

So, uh, I ask you the world (or this subreddit at least) what the hell am I doing wrong?

How do you guys stand up your figures?

I've been trying to make some of the cool ass poses some people have on here but these things just do not stand up at all. I looked up a thread on here that linked to one of these sets of 50 plastic stands, so I gave them a try but the holes in the figures' feet are just not deep enough, or the stands aren't sturdy enough, or both idk they just don't work.

So, thats 15 dollars I'm gonna need to refund, but uh, I ask, how would y'all reccommend making these figures actually hold a pose for more than 5 seconds?

Did AvX kill Hope Summers (figuratively)?

Hi, I've been doing my X-Men first time read through for quite a bit, and I kinda enjoyed Hope's character through the Messiah Trilogy and Gen Hope. But I just finished AvX, and I was really frustrated with.. most of what was in it, but specifically the role Hope plays in it. Obviously I haven't read past this, but I notice browsing wiki pages and older reddit threads that a lot of people view her appearance on Krakoa as essentially a big return for her character, and I notice on those wiki pages the paragraphs between AvX and Krakoa are pretty darn slim, especially for a character given four massive events highlighting her as a pivotal character for the future of mutants.

Am I just getting confused and she still does get some use, or did interest in Hope Summers just fall off a cliff because of AvX? Were writers just not interested in her? Was she considered pointless once time displaced Jean (and eventually real Jean) were reintroduced?

So, I partly came up with some of this while others came from a Discord oomfie, but I did want to post it here because the only context it's been talked about is the fuckass Black Panther discourse and I think it's kinda of worth bringing up for how we speculate about the roster.

The Shuri storyline in this game is directly taken from Dark Reign (NOT Devil's Reign, for those into the MCU rn) and its tie-in Deadliest of the Species, written by Reginald Hudlin, in which Doctor Doom attempts to kill T'Challa for refusing to join Norman Osborn's Cabal. T'Challa is wounded and he and Storm have to fight for his life from Mistress Death while Shuri steps up as queen of Wakanda and the new Black Panther.

And, though it is Savage Land instead of Sakaar, Hulk's story in Tokon is clearly in reference to Planet Hulk, Greg Pak's 2006 storyline where Hulk is shipped into space by the Illuminati.

I think this is all relevant because it does seem to point to them focusing on stories from the mid to late 2000s. Danger first debuted in Astonishing X-Men from 2005, and the Shi'ar/Kree story seems similar to Ed Brubaker's 2006-2007 story Rise and Fall of the Shi'ar Empire with Champion subbing in for Vulcan. Hell, in the X-Men trailer they actually recreate the cover of issue 280 of this story arc. I guess this could be a coincidence but Gladiator getting choked out isn't that common a visual.

Norman Osborn is shown to be running for president in the NYC stage, very similar to his turn for Director of SHIELD after Tony was ousted in Dark Reign. Notably, this was when he was doing his turn as Iron Patriot pretending to not be the Green Goblin anymore.

So part of me posting this besides just thinking the inspiration is neat is that I think the push towards the mid to late 2000s can kind of give us an idea of what Doom's team is going for, which I imagine is some sort of mix between Norman's Cabal and Dark Avengers teams (though probably skewing closer to the former). That being said, my guess would be that Norman is probably similar to the comics in which he will appear as more of an NPC financing the Cabal as a Nick Fury figure rather than a playable character, though possibly becoming playable as DLC down the line.

Carnage has been speculated about a ton, and though he was killed way before the Dark Reign story, Norman had enlisted Mac Gargan as Venom to serve as part of his Dark Avengers lineup. Nobody gives a fuck about Mac Gargan Venom in 2025, but the idea of a totally amoral scumbag version of Venom teaming up with Norman Osborn would work perfectly with Cletus.

Additionally, there have been a few rumors of Emma Frost, and I think this would make a lot of sense considering her role in the Dark Reign story as a mole for the X-Men pretending to have betrayed them while also giving them information from the inside.

For the last slot? I have no clue. The cabal in the Dark Reign story featured The Hood, Namor, and Loki, while the Dark Avengers had Daken, Moonstone, Sentry, and Bullseye. I know a lot of people are wagering on Magneto, but imo I think Loki makes the most sense here as they would make the villains team comprised of four villains for each team; Loki for the Avengers, Doom for the Midnight Suns (Doom is a mystical villain, so it works), Emma for the X-Men, and Carnage for the Guardians).

Lastly I do wanna mention that it's been established that a popular Marvel writer is working on the story mode for this game. With all this 2000s influence, especially from Dark Reign, and his recent publicized return to the Marvel comics, I would not at all be surprised if the mystery writer is Brian Michael Bendis. He's worked on games and animated shows before, and has worked on almost all of the characters in this game.

That being said I have no idea how faithful they're going or anything like that, I can't prove anything. They can do whatever they want, there are plenty of differences and Marvel Two-In-One Annual #7 certainly isn't a mid 2000s story so Champion is pretty out of the blue.
