Look, i get obedience and i get people disliking or having a different take on the SSPX sure. and if you think SSPX isn't doing this to uphold the deposit of faith ok....show me how it dosent uphold it point by point...show me how Vatican II is just horribly misunderstood.

What was taught before Vatican II is well documented

Converts find out what the Church teaches without daily updates from the Vatican every hour and indeed, doing so is how they know they should even listen to the Vatican at all.

Didache, Church fathers, all the other councils which litterally are all on public record and easily accessed.

If you are using "deposit of fiath according to who" you either

a) don't know/believe in the deposit of faith and reject the known truth

b) are too lazy to find out

And SSPX has Bishops and priests who have studied this for 7 years do your homework or else don't discuss, gaslighting and being a karen isn't apologetics

SSPX is 100% justified to prioritize faith over obedience (and yes this is about the faith keep up). One should follow Peter but on that Good Friday 2000 years ago one should have followed John and the Blessed Mother rather than Peter in his denial.

So, apparently Nova Scotia wants to foot 21 million to protect a Ferry to the USA that only brings in 20 million into Nova Scotia as far as dollars spent. Happily its mostly Americans making the crossing.

if you don't want to cut the ferry fine....but Nova Scotia is currently paying ALL of it and the Ferry is rented from the US coast guard!

I mean, couldn't Maine at least go 1/2 or 1/3rd to make it at least profitable?

Used to love the Ferry but it just dosent bring in tourism like it used to. Time to close it down in my view.

Ok, for starters, I LOVE how we have Americans standing up to Donald Trump. if you're in that movement and are American you have my praise and thanks.

That said, is this exact movement in Canada?

A few issues

1. No Kings is distinctly American and is about adhering to the Constitution of the USA...great but...we're Canadian

2. Supporting it as Canadians could just be another way of letting American discource dominate our politics and we need our own voice (for example, we have a King...Charles III and he came to Canada to show his support at the request of PM Carney)

3. It support the myth that all that needs to happen is a few more Democrats to win office or just a few structural changes

a) Biden proved that just getting a Demoractic Presidant in won't help

b) it presumes that the solution to our concerns as Canadians is again...within the USA.

Again if you are in or visiting the USA for whatever reason it should absolutely have sympathy but is even thios also just an import of American discource onto Canada....glad they're opposing trump, but it goes deeper than that.

I'm an ex Trump Supporting Canadian and I'd like to tell you about my experineces in this world.

Before i go further i want to make it clear that January 6th was the massive steel beam that broke the camel's back and all through his first term i noticed Trump becoming increasinlgy insane, so i am not now nor have I ever been a 51ster. But some of my experiences from inside this world

1. American Nationalists hate and dismiss everyone who isnt an American constitutionalist....yes even if you are a Canadian MAGA supporter they will mock you and treat you like dirt.

2. If anyone is conservative watching this the MAGA movement ABSOLUTELY abuses Christianity and values based movements. don't like prolife? dont worry neither does Trump. Trump and his followers do not care at all about any values beyond Greed.

Everything above is just obvious by now, though i could have told you much of this in 2018, but tjis will be shocking to some...

3. TRUMP IS THE MODERATE AMOUNG MAGAS!!!

Look, heard many many many Americans talk about how they hate international law, support annexation etc. when i got involved consevritives were still reacting against Bush Era interventionism and supported pulling back....this has changed. in my view the USA is fundementally incapable of change, even if a Democrat wins in 2028 (which i predict will be the case) it will only be a blip, and afterwards you will get someone even more charismatic, more entitled and more violent. Trump threatens to annex Canada with tariffs, I think that a future US presidant will try to use it with military force and w=he will have a compliant military to do it with and wont care how it affects the economy.

I fully support the idea that Canada needs its own (strong) nuclear deterant as i think based on history Republicans will annex, Democrats will apologize and complain that they can do nothing about it.

I also am not entirely sure that the USA would not attempt a full on genocide of Canadians both culturally and by forced expulsions etc to change demographics in their favour.

Happy to provide further insights into what it was like being the the Maple MAGA universe and to give my take on what i think is happening on the inside right now.
