It was capped 3 years ago and they didn't mill down at road to make it butt up against it but smeared over it. I want to have it fixed but the cracking goes up the drive about 2ft or more. Just want some recommendations to assure its fixed proper.

I've sprayed this spot last year with sledgehammer 3x over 3 weeks last fall and it appeared to have killed it . I then overseeded with fescue whuch filled in nicely. Now thus summer it has returned. I have 3 areas similar and treated w same results. Is it not nutsedge ?
