Why is my skincare always pilling?

For the past couple of months my skincare is continuously pilling. I’ve tried waiting extra time between steps, cutting things out, adding things in but nothing is working :(( and I haven’t been able to get my makeup to look quite right.

This is what I use in the mornings before makeup

\- avene water spray
\- Vichy 89 (only when I feel a bit dry)
\- bubble vitamin c (open for suggestions cause I’m not in love with it)
\- hydroboost fragrance free gel cream
\- la Roche sunscreen or sometimes Clinique HA sunscreen

I initially thought that the La Roche sunscreen was the culprit so I got the Clinique one but no change. Where am I going wrong?!

any advice is greatly appreciated
