Trade CX90 for CX50?

I have had issues with my 2025 MHEV Preferred CX90: water pump replacement at 17k miles, trunk issues, squealing brakes, multiple recalls, now there is a weird heat radiating up through where the seatbelt is on the drivers side (I’m taking it to the dealership Monday for investigation).

But, I want to get rid of this car for the problems and to improve my budget. There are great incentives at Mazda right now, 0%, no payments for 90 days, loyalty. I wanted to go back to Toyota but I’m wondering if it might be worth it to stay with Mazda if they work with me to get out of this vehicle.

Any thoughts on the CX50? The RAV4 was my other choice but it’s still very expensive for what it is and I can’t get what I want for less than $37k.

Trunk won’t open

This has happened a few times, but randomly the trunk will not open from the button on the outside or from the inside. And it’s when I *of course* have it filled with things I need to unload asap. I went out for a photoshoot today and had to crawl over my gear to manually unlock it. Do I take it in for this? This is the second issue I’ve had after the triple whammy alerts and water pump replacement.

Hydrangea Harvest

My roses all have been infected with RRD but my hydrangeas continue to live on and produce the most beautiful flowers. I have never seen a hydrangea so big! 😍 Just gorgeous! I think I’m going full-hydrangea from here on out.

Dreaded Triple Whammy

2025 MHEV I6 Preferred purchased November 2024. Today I got the i-stop, hybrid battery, engine malfunction, vehicle malfunction error. I immediately took it in to get serviced and got a brand new CX5 as a loaner. Tell it to me straight guys, should I offload this as soon as I’m right side up on the loan versus trade? What else could i possibly get that will be as fun, safe (this has 5 star ratings), gorgeous to drive? I have two kids and regularly use the cargo space for hauling things. I’m crushed thinking I made a poor financial decision buying this car. I regularly bought Honda and Toyota before this and am thinking of going back….

Beauty after rain

My Zepherine Drouhin’s first season in the ground and she’s growing strong and looking beautiful after the rain. She’s already training up the trellis and has produced one flower already! I hardened them off for a year in pots and now have them all in the ground. Climbing roses around my mailbox, front entrance, trellis, I just went wild with them! All for under $100!!!!

How many physical attractiveness comments are too many early in dating?

41F dating primarily from online connections. How many comments based on your physical attractiveness do you feel are appropriate during the beginning stages of dating? Specifically, before even meeting?

I have been talking with my therapist on how to screen serious men, but I’m worried I’m overcorrecting. She tried to explain to me that men who focus on physical comments and compliments are not in it to know who I really am, but I’m not fully convinced, as I think some men may just be really excited they get to date a women they find very attractive.

For example, I think I was triggered during a recent interaction between someone I have chatted with via text and phone and that I am supposed to be meeting for the first time this week. The man reassured me he was not out for just sex, but he has complimented me numerous times physically before meeting. The last time I showed and explained some art (photography) I was working on all morning (my life’s work really - I’m looking to publish a book), and he said “cool” then questioned why I didn’t have any pictures of my pretty self. Well, I told him I’m more than a pretty face (I felt triggered all he said was “cool” about something very important to me, then pivoted to me being pretty), and he said he never said I was then said to not assume that’s all he wants after I tried to explain men constantly ask me for pictures and that I’m more than that and that I’m very sensitive to the request.

Did I overreact? Lol
