I wandered around various spots in Veilwater for hours at night and only came up with 30 frogs. That's not a good return on my time. I need them as bait for the Fisherman's quest to catch an epic fish. I need an epic fish to unlock the seared fish recipe so that I can craft the grilled fish and coconut rice recipe so that I can extend my oxygen by 60 seconds so that I can get the diver's helmet. What a mess, right? I tried to get to the final switch on the diver's helmet quest (IYKYK), but it's impossible with only 30 seconds oxygen. But I digress...

Is there a place to reliably catch large numbers of frogs? Please share!

There is a Drak'Dal temple in Veilwater north of Dewdrop Farm, east of Starfish Shores, and south of the Night Sanctum, where you are supposed to retrieve the soul/vessel/husk for the Collector villager NPC. Inside, there is a door that has one light over it indicating a switch must be thrown. There is a pool of lava in front of the door and a spike trap leading up to the pool. This door is not preventing me from completing the quest, but I'd still like to see what's in there...

I have torn that temple apart and can't find how to activate that door. Any ideas on how to get in? Sorry, I tried to add 360 degree pictures, but Reddit kept deleting them.

Does a gem of corruption add a stack of corruption with each cast, or does it have to proc? I was thinking of adding one to my Ritual Tempest wand, so that I could do fire and shock damage with a big shroud burst every 3 casts. I thought that sounded like more fun than adding it to my Shroud Weaver staff. If it only procs a stack occasionally, I'll stick with a gem of burning or something else that compliments my build.

Does anyone know how to power this tower? I've spent an hour combing every part of it and looking for underwater entrances, as well. There is a single building at the top of the rocky spire that has a console with a power switch. However, there is absolutely nowhere to plug a power source into.

Am I doing something wrong? I'm pumping full-speed into 14 diesel tanks on my boat from Black Vein, and it's taking forever. At the rate it's going, I anticipate it taking an hour or more to fill all 14. Does that sound right to anyone? I've checked my connections and everything is flowing correctly...

Chat GPT and my search engine have been lying to me a lot lately, but they are both insisting that it is possible to grow healing herbs. Can anyone verify this, and how did you get seeds?

Artificial intelligence is pretty dumb...

For the past few days, I've noticed that the house reps. are not giving me solari for completing Landsraad missions. I've gone with a completely empty inventory, collected the exp. points from the Landsraad board, and the mission indicates a completed status (or actually is no longer on my list of accepted missions).

Anyone else having this problem? I am doing the things I have always done when I've collected my mission rewards in the past...

So call me a noob, even after 700 hours of play, but I'm just now discovering some disturbing information about base shields. According to the internet (which often lies), an advance sub-fief extends a shield that is 10 units in all directions from THE POINT OF ORIGINAL PLACEMENT. Moving the sub-fief later doesn't change the area covered by the shield.

Apparently, there are things I could have done had I known this (although I don't know how I would have initially centered the shield height-wise since you can't build up without a sub-fief placed and can't place one in mid-air...) including destroying the sub-fief and replacing it at a new location PRIOR to placing any stakes. Well that's great because stakes can't be removed (at least not easily) and I have around the max limit. Apparently, the stakes extend the shield to some extent, but again, from the point of original placement.

So I think I might be doomed to forever repair certain parts of my base. The question I have is: how do people with bases larger than 10x10x10 protect themselves? Do you just repair everything outside of that area constantly? Also, the internet says I should see a blue dome where my shield covers, but I see no such thing.

I'm hoping I'm wrong about shield dynamics, and that there actually is something I can do to cover my whole base. I think that the insight from people with gigantic bases might be the clue I need.

Does anyone know of a site that tracks exchange prices? I've tired dune.exchange, but it's pretty worthless. You can't see a darn thing on it. Can't browse, can't search. It's just one big heat map of what's selling fast atm.

I want to sell things, but I have no idea how to price them. I'd like to see what they are going for or have gone for in the past.

Please let there be such a thing...

Is there a way to move my base to a different sietch within the same world (server)?

Using a transfer token is making me choose a different world altogether. I'm wondering if i can just backup my base, hop to the new sietch and drop the copy. I don't want to try unless I'm sure, because I have no idea if I might lose my base and everything in it.

I get the feeling that my search engine and a few AIs are lying to me... Anyone ever do this before?

Is there a way to move to a different sietch and spawn somewhere other than Griffin's Reach?

When the server merger happened, after searching many sietches, I grabbed the first one I found that had my spot available. Unfortunately, there is also a large base right next to me, so I can't expand now. Now that I at least have my old base back, I'm thinking of looking around to see if there isn't a sietch where I can move to again with room to expand. If I have to spawn at Griffin's every time, though, I think I'm going to just stay put.

Is there anyway around spawning at Griffin's?

This has now happened twice to me. I have a base in the deep desert. I have the generators fueled to maximum, 20d 20h. I have not built any machines, penta shields, prudence doors, or wind traps in the base, so there is literally only 15 power being drained to power the base shield/sub-fief. My sub-fief and generators verify only 15 power being used with a ton to spare.

Then, along comes a sand storm and suddenly I get a warning that shields are down. I run to my sub-fief. Plenty of fuel, circuits are stable. I look at my generators. They appear to be operating. All of that aside, the storm almost completely destroys my base.

It's one thing when it happens while I'm there. I can repair, grab anything important in storage, hide in my still tent. But it has also happened while I was away, which could have been catastrophic as I had not moved all of my spice and titanium back to Hagga yet.

Anyone have any insight on this?

I'm on the final quest of the Mentat arc entitled "Untwisted Questions". The quest says to go to the wreck of the Ourea and the report back to Zayn, the Mentat quest giver.

So many issues here, I hardly know where to begin. First, everything I can find on the internet says it's the wreck of the Delphis. Okay, maybe they changed it in one of the updates, because my map has a quest marker on it that says Ourea, not Delphis. So the first step is to discover the wreck. I have explored every inch of that ship and it still hasn't acknowledged that I "discovered" it.

That's fine, moving on. I found a chest that had Solari and the Tleilaxu data pad in it (see below), which lines up with videos I've seen of people doing this mission on the "Delphis". I collected both items, however, the data pad is not in my inventory. Fine, it's a quest item, maybe the game just logs the collection and flags that step as complete (BTW the quest instructions don't mention anything about having to collect a data pad from the wreck. It just says discover wreck, report back). The quest log is still telling me to discover the ship. I logged out and repeated the run, only this time there was no data pad in the chest. Great! I must be doing something right because surely it would not grant me a quest item twice. I must have truly found the right item the first time!

Believing I must be progressing the quest despite it not updating the objective, I return to Zayn. We go through the dialogue and reach the step where I deliver the data pad, however, there is nothing in the exchange window to give him. Regardless, I select the "deliver" option and he seems satisfied, even making some comment indicating he received it.

The quest does not complete, however. When I speak to him again, he's like, do you have the thing I asked for yet?

Here's a screen shot of where I got what I believe was the quest item. It's an area surrounded by a counter with several tables inside, one containing the loot chest. The chest is unique in that it is covered in what appears to be gold foil, which is unlike any other chest I've ever encountered. The purple glow in the background is a purple ID band-locked door, for reference.

WTF? Does anyone have any ideas? Maybe I only think I'm n the right place? Maybe that wasn't the quest item at all?

Unfortunately, it looks like my world was picked for closing. The problem is, for 2 days now I have been unable to log in. After a long loading screen, I eventually get the dreaded P34 error: unable to connect. I'm supposed to have until May 26th to move, so I'm not sure why I can't get in to copy the base, break down my vehicles, etc.

I can create a new character on another server, but I cannot log into any other sietch on my server. I have verified my server is up and I can see other players are active in other sietches on my server.

Anyone have any insight on this?

According to the interwebs, there is supposed to be a food vendor in Tortuga near all of the faction vendors. I need a bunch of healing herbs for a quest, but farming them from ruins in this game is a fool's errand. I thought I would just buy them instead, but I can't find the vendor.

Does anyone know where he is? Pictures, maybe?
