RIP to my 14 year old Volkswagen

I wish I had a dash cam, the girl in front of me braked for no reason on the freeway and I happened to be looking at my directions in the second she did it. Wasn’t speeding or following close. I don’t even have insurance and she’s suing me with Sweet James law. 🙄

I’m stuck with a shitty rental I can barely afford, if there’s any silver lining at least I realized there are ways to save on gas. If yall want to help me out you could use my Upside code 55HGPB to help save me on gas money (saves for you too).

Also does anyone know how I can argue against this or am I just stuck paying for it, I’m pretty sure she pulled into my lane close and I got further away anyway, so she can’t honestly claim I was following close but I don’t know how to defend it with no dashcam.

Don’t waste money on gas

My CRV has a 14 gallon tank, so if I get gas for $7 like I see people doing where I live in LA, it would run me $100. I don’t understand how these people throw away their money and don’t care but maybe they don’t drive for a living.

Costco, Sam’s club, ARCO are the only reasonable options at least in LA, usually can get under $6 at them. If you don’t have a membership just go to ARCO and use Upside with the code 55HGPB (gets you a 55% discount on first purchase and 30 cents off per gallon of gas). If you have a Ralph’s membership I think you can get cashback as well.

There’s also one pay and as I mentioned the membership ones but for the love of God don’t pay $70 for a tank of gas like I see people doing.

Don’t waste money on gas when you could get it way cheaper

I see people pulling into shell with no cashback and paying $6.95 PER GALLON for gas in the South Bay where I drive for DoorDash and Uber in my free time as a paralegal trying to become a millionaire. I don’t understand how these people throw away their money and don’t care but maybe they don’t drive for a living.

Saving on gas

For anyone else in South Bay for the love of God stop pulling into shell and spending nearly $7/gal on gas.

I saw the cashback gas program was extended, and I recently learned you can also use the Upside app for cashback

If you end up signing up, my code is 55HGPB for an extra 30¢ per gallon off (about $3 back per fill extra for the both of us so I’d appreciate it lol).

Hope this helps someone save a bit on gas!
