I’m assuming it’s a possum nibbling on my ornamental pears, but wondering if it might be something else? Anyone have experience with this and any advice on deterring? My feeling is this can’t be good for the trees?

The latest vic government ads to get young people into teaching seem to suggest that being ‘favourite’ should be the aim. I get that they’re trying to make kids want to become teachers, but I’ve seen so many graduates trip up because they just wanted to be favourite, cool and popular. In the long run in my experience students value those teachers who were genuinely invested in them, and who earned respect without trying to be their favourite.

Maybe I’m just being overly grumpy for a Tuesday, but just thought this was an interesting advertising line instead of something along the lines of teachers being able to change the world…we have much more of an impact than being popular.
