is it just me or people just don't talk about Willa's transition?

On her first appearance in the film, she is openly resentful of her father, and treats him with very little respect due to his chronic substance abuse. Instead of behaving like a traditional child, Willa is frequently seen acting as the responsible, mature caretaker in the house. Willa is also naive and ignorant whenever her father warns her that people are coming to get them, completely unaware of the violent political forces and family secrets surrounding her. She is further ignorant when Deandra (Regina Hall) asks her if she is carrying a phone, and she lies by claiming she doesn't have one, which allows Lockjaw to track them down.

On her last appearance in the film, after surviving a gauntlet of political violence and uncovering the truth about her lineage, she seems obedient, well-informed and ready to comply to her father. The trauma she has gone through empowers her to take control of her own destiny and actively define who she is. Her appearance also took a turn and redefined itself.
