About the mandatory interships in different sectors

Hey so im from germany and id want to become a vet but theres one problem: you need to do internships in different sectors like hygiene, agraculture and the meat industry.

So id need to do an Intership at a slaughterhouse or something similar- and as someone that wants to help /heal animals and spare them from misery i just have a HUGE distaste for the meat industry and i happen to be a really empathic person.

So does anybody know an alternative where i could do it instead or something that is "not as bad" or a way to avoid it?

Does anybody know any examples where else i could do one?

Pigeon has way too big feet feathers ?

So the baby pigeon recently finally left the nest and his feet feathers are really big and i was thinking of cutting them by atleast half because i fear they might bother the pigeon. I dont even know why theyre that because his parents (his dad in the second pic) have feet feathers but theyre not that big . Anybody had this happen before? I was planning on waiting a bit until the feathers are fully cracked out of their cast to cut em.

I think they bother them because he seems a bit clumsy and you can even see that his dad stepped on the feathers in the second pic . He does fly but only up and down from his parents nest or to get some food. So i dont know if they might be a bother for when theyre flying.

Pigeon laying too many eggs?

So my pigeon pair just had a kid and now i found out she laid another egg and is sitting on it. Because i saw how she and her husband werent sitting on their child as much as before but thats partly also because hes getting older. (Hes a bit older than on the pic) Her kid hatched on the 5th may. Is it normal that she laid an egg so soon?

Could it be because only one of the 2 eggs hatched? I also held the 2nd egg up to a light and it wasnt fertilized.

My other couple also had chicks. Two of them and after a month after they hatched she had another 2 eggs.

This seems unaturally much. But could it also just be because of the time of year?
