Welcome to Duskvol! A moderately-steampunk Victorian city shrouded in perpetual twilight, barricaded by electric walls to stop ghostly horrors from entering...and force the roiling bucket-of-crabs that is the impoverished criminal underbelly to face the consequences of their decisions. You are a would-be gang buried in the bottom of the heap, and the only way to climb is to step on the people you pull down to your level.

Looking for interested players who want to play maybe not the nicest people on the block, willing to stab and steal their way to the finer things in life! Newbies encouraged, especially if you're somewhat familiar with the game but have been looking for a chance to play. I got my start in ttRPGs with D&D 3.5e, and then 5e, and have bounced around a few other systems, and I keep coming back to BitD. It blends mechanics and narrative, where everything that happens is based on fidelity to the fiction and treating the world like a living, breathing place, but with the mechanical scaffolding to support the narrative developments.

A big part of this game is taking initiative to put things into the world (sometimes retroactively), figure out factions and relationships between rival groups as we play, and make up the storyline as we go. So to that end I encourage proactive and collaborative players who are interested in having conversations about the flow of the game.

I work M-F 8-5 CST, so game time is going to be either Friday evenings or some time on the weekends. We will use Discord for speech/organization, and Foundry for sheets and the rarer visual element.
