My sweet, sweet Dai-chan. I love you.

Kitten photos taken right when he was adopted with his sister. All other photos are pretty recent.

Is playing/walking in water a common raccoon habit?

This raccoon likes to walk in the water dish and wet their paws. I’ve noticed many times that in the morning the water dish is usually empty and full of dirt like they splashed in it instead of just drinking. So I moved it in view on my camera and saw this. I find it kinda funny and cute.

Curious if anyone else has raccoon friends that do this or know why? It’s been pretty hot here so I imagine it’s a way to cool down and maybe it’s just fun.

💖 My sweet Dai-chan. (16 years old)

His sister passed in April and it’s been so hard on him (and me). Moments like this make me incredibly grateful for what we still have. I couldn’t love him more. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

My friend and her two little ones. 🥰

Known this squirrel for a while and I’m always happy to see her. She’s been working hard and taking great care of her kittens. She brought them out this morning to get some bfast. They are adorable! First time seeing both.

They got carrots, walnuts, hazelnuts and fresh water this morning.

Note: Thanks to some great suggestions from people here, I am on some squirrel rehab fb groups in case she needs any medical intervention. Will keep an eye on her to make sure she’s not getting worse. She is eating, drinking and running around as usual. Just seems extra hungry, which makes sense if she’s been nursing. I ordered some rodent blocks to help mom out going forward.

Is this squirrel sick?

She is moving around normally, is alert and eating but has some weird fur patterns/baldness. Last time I saw this squirrel, she didn’t look like this. Also a weird scab thing in the whiskers area.

Do you think it’s just injuries from breeding, depleted mother from nursing or is she sick? I left almonds, carrots and cucumber and fresh water out.

Anything else I can do to help?

Last three pics are her pup I think.
