3/4 Complete for First M43 Kit
I had preordered (late May) OM-3 Astro, lens, and the two astro filters as my first foray into Micro Four Thirds system. I use Nikon DSLR & astrophotography specific telescopes/camera systems.
Today I received the filters and lens in two separate packages. I am excited. However, no word on the camera body itself yet. I wonder why OM System just didn’t ship everything at once in a single package when all became available? Wouldn’t it have been a cheaper and more efficient method? Oh well. I’m still glad to have some the gear now to make it more of a reality.
I‘m really surprised just how small these in body filters are, not having ever seen or used this type before.
I am also surprised just how lightweight the lens is.
I bought the H&Y filter mount to use with this specific lens in the event I want to use the OM-3 Astro for regular photos with a UV/IR Cut filter. I’m also debating on getting a regular OM-3 or OM-1 Mk II body with a couple more lenses maybe if a good sale happens.
Well, at least I’m 75% complete. lol.
